Sorry for making so many topics, but this forum is rather addicting smile.gif
Was there anybody in GTA IV that you didn't want to kill or felt sorry for killing? It can be a ped or a character from the story.
For me id have to say Ray. Until the mission "Was it worth it" in TLAD. Poor Jim.
But before that, i quite liked ray. not the best character, but not a character you'd be happy with killing. But at the same time, i was kinda glad to kill him, because when pegorino was deciding who to kill, i didn't want him to choose Phil, I liked him much more. One of my favorite characters from the game.
Also Aiden from Tunnel of Death, i guess. He just seemed so happy to be free.

I guess Dwayne. Niko's reluctance could be felt.

No-one.
I only killed the arseholes, i didn't kill Dwayne or Derrick for example, i'd always choose to kill the obvious c*nts, if i had to choose one i would say Ray Boccino, he wasn't that much of an asshole to be killed, he didn't actually hate Niko.

Yeah, once.

I've killed a lot of people in IV, a lot... One time though, a jamaican dude was walking along albany avenue and for some reason that I can't quite recall, I decided to shoot him. I followed him closely and as I aimed my glock at his head, his phone rang and he answered it saying "Hello Fahder!" rather happily. Without thinking I pulled the trigger and splattered his brains on the pavement and suddenly a feeling of slight sadness and guilt came over me.

It was a difficult kill, but it made the rest a whole lot easier.

Didn't really think Ray deserved to be whacked either mind you.
I did feel bad when I tried shooting Dwayne, but I've never saved it, I always kill PBX.

no doubt Jim (from TLAD) and Faustin. I loved Lost MC, and I relate to Jim and Johnny a lot. After Jim's death the whole thing just f*ckin collapsed; Johnny left completely alone. So I hated killing him in IV. f*ckin Nico.
Regret killing Faustin because poor guy was betrayed by his best friend.

Let me put it like this. I feel about as guilty for killing peds in GTA as I do for shooting aliens in galaga.

Well...
I haven't regret for killing anyone,
I spared everyone I could, the includes the Jewish Diamond Dealer and Adam Dimayev's last goon.
And I made sure Frankie made it out alive in "To Live and Die in Alderney".
And I killed Playboy X and Derrick. Well, I regret for killing Derrick, but for some reason, killing Francis would make me regret it even more.

The one I felt didn't need to be eradicated was Francis. The general thought process on the forums is that Derrick is a druggie, but a good man. Francis is labeled as a crook and a fraud, which he is, but for the greater good. Derrick was a manipulative snitch who ratted out his best friends just for money and freedom. He abandoned his family for Ireland, because he was caught stealing from shysters and Italian crooks. Derrick was a heroin addicted piece of crap who couldn't actually clean up, and had no intention to. Francis was bad, but he only killed known crooks, as Clarence was obviously guilty! The black mailer wasn't necessarily guilty, but he was trying to clean up the streets - and become the commissioner.

The one that doesn't ring true to me is Derrick v Francis, which ever you choose. I'm sure a real life Niko true to his character would have got on to Gerald or Patrick a soon as he realised what was going down.

By the way though, have you ever lost the coffin out of the hearse? The cutscene and Packie's comment is hilarious.

I later felt bad and sorry about killing Faustin, once I realized that Dimitri had set him up for betrayal. However, once I did kill Dimitri,I shot the sh*t out of him - I like blew his head open with my shotgun over 10 times.

Also felt a little bit bad about killing Playboy X - he never actually did anything to Niko, and I quite liked him, even though I always chose to kill him over Dwayne.

I always have a problem with "Blood Brothers" because BOTH of them are pricks, more or less.

I think R* set it up where Francis is the bigger jerk, but then again, Derrick is just a drugged out mess and you know, sooner or later, he is going to F-up big time and take the whole McCreary Family down with him... And Niko as well! With Francis, you know he can't really do anything (to Niko) once he is Commissioner because he has a lot to lose vs. Derrick who has nothing to lose, ironically, since he is already at rock bottom.

I've never lost the coffin out of the hearse because it's not that hard to drive carefully, but quickly while trying to evade the Albanians they send after you. I mean, I've TRIED to get it to fall out by purposefully slamming into stuff just to see what happens, but it never does. Hmm...

Aiden. I felt really bad about that one.
Faustin, Dwayne, that guy in Wrong Is Right, and Ray I guess.
