Someone please help me. I really want to play gta sa. I have re-istalled gta sa many times. I have a fresh download of Directx 9. I don't have any modifications or not even a save game. This same error is for both samp and the single player.
Thanks in advance.

Are you playing with the DVD in the Drive?
Did you delete the gta_sa.set file?
Is your game a Version 2?
By the way - SA-MP is a Mod.
Is your operating system Vista? If it is you have a hidden file 'Virtual Store' San Andreas, that must also be uninstalled when you do a reinstall.

I have Windows XP. I don't know what version it is. GTA didn't work even before I installed samp. I know my computer specs meet the requirements because I used to play always, then just one day it stopped.

Is your game a Version 2? If it is the Box and the Disc will say "Second Edition".
Is your operating system Vista? If it is you have a hidden file 'Virtual Store' San Andreas, that must also be uninstalled when you do a reinstall.

I lost the CD, i'm playing using a crack. The version is 1, I think. My operating system is XP now Vista. I don't have a gta_sa.set file because I haven't got to start the game.

Buy the Disc. We don't support Cracked games.
No support for Warez/Torrent/Pirated games.
Lost disc is your problem, find it or buy it again.

Okay. Since you don't help with cracked versions, I went hunting for my disk. I found it in the bottom of my closet. I reinstalled GTA SA and now, I run with the CD in and it says this, "gta_sa.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."
I have no idea what to do. It also does it for World Racing 2. What could be wrong with these files? I have installed and reinstalled them both.

I have reinstalled the game and formated my pc just under a week ago. I have all those requirements too. I have started to get a new error after I formated my pc though. Now it says something like this.

gta_sa.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. Sorry for the inconvenience. When I click on the Send Error Report button, it gives me a thank you message and a link on how to fix it. It just takes me to the take 2 interactive website, nothing more. It tells me to update something, but yet again, it doesn't say what. It's not only samp that isn't working. The single player doesn't work either. The samp debug thing does though.
