I will probably run, but I'd expect FPS in single digits.

Uhm, I think you need a new PC to play IV [if you have a budget and willing to buy].

Also in advance, upgrade isn't worth it.

I don't think it will be playable on the lowest settings either.

OP:

I would just buy a used Xbox 360, or PS3 and play the game that way because any upgrade you might do is going to cost a lot more than either a used, or brand new console at this point. Besides, then you will be ready for GTA V no questions asked since it is also going to be on consoles, too.

He's right. With the same price, you can get a console, with much better graphics/performance than those builds. The 2nd build is fine, other than the GPU. You could use a 6670.

short answer is yes, i have played gta iv with dual core 2 ghz, but you would need something like a 8600gt, gt 240, 9800gt, gt640
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16814133205
that is the card i used on both dual core (amd and intel each) builds. my settings are posted elsewhere in the forums. disable shadows

that's still wrong. it is still dual core, albeit perhaps one of the most advanced ones to date -- it will beat the quad core amd in most situATIONS, EXCEPT GAMING WITH THE ONBOARD VIDEO ONLY.
http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/cpus/2012...8-3870-review/6
you would STILL need to add a video card.
if you want ati video card, get a hd 7750-800,
NOT 7750-900
http://www.anandtech.com/show/5881/amd-ann...-radeon-hd-7750
make sure your computer as pci-express slot

Are you kidding me? GTA 4 is one of the game which needs a latest Graphic Card. I suggest you this Graphic Card:
ATI Radeon HD 5850 - Rs.15,000~Rs.20,000 In dollars, it is 299$ (If you think of buying a GPU from USA)

Other parts are also outdated. You can try the minimum requirements of Max Payne 3 to run GTA 4. They will play the game well at lowest settings. smile.gif Also, we Indians have less advancement in technology so it will be hard to find some perfect parts in Rupees. Do what others suggested; buy a Console like Xbox 360 or PS3. It will cost you Rs.20,000 and games will cost below Rs.3000 (I know in PC, it's very cheap but Consoles have great performance and Graphics and it's worth it.)

You'll probably have to upgrade the power supply as well. Like people have said already, in your case upgrading isn't very viable.

That motherboard apparently has the required PCI connectors http://downloadmirror.intel.com/18827/eng/...echProdSpec.pdf

If you open the case, you should be able to see a sticker on the power supply, take a picture of it and post it here.
