There is a way to invert the bloom in the timecyc according to DKT70, but I don't know how. Also, one of the discussions exposed that DKT70 was having a hard time bringing his version of the "flare" (sun rays) to public distribution because he had to "dial in" the bloom inverted values in the timecyc.

Now, I have looked through a timecyc manually, in notepad, and saw little to no indication of how to do that. In EditIV / TimecycIV the unknown values are never revealed and information provided, but, you know, there is obviously something more in the background that authors like Ice, DKT70 and DP3 are doing.

If you look at some icenhancer sets, the bloom (sun rays) are the same shape regardless of the icebloom.fx you use. Which leads me to believe this is true.

If there are sun rays than maybe there could be a light effect like theres a window with small but wide gap between them and the dust in air gets lighted by the sun and apear to us like someone is lasering a site from outside,if you know what i mean...
Btw,can anyone tell me how to decrease the sun's haze brightness and to open .dds files?

haze brightness canno't be decreased properly said (as far as i know) . the brightness of the sun haze depends on its colors and the sky colors . i know that if you have a blue sky if you increase the sun color B in other parameters then the haze will looks brighter . at the opposite if you decrease the sun color B (blue) with blue sky then the haze brightness will decrease but that affects sun contrast too . if you increase sun color B while sky is mostly blue then the sun will be less visible . sun rays personnally i don't know how to do that i mean real different sun rays don't know if it's possible with vanilla timecyc and textures ?? don't know why you need to open dds file , open iv allows you to open textures files and import them whatever the format . you can create dds with xnview

@jpm1:thanks for telling about sun's haze brightness,I just want decrease overrall sun and it's haze brightness coz my enb,it's way to high.As for the dds files,I want to open them seperately, not in any rpf or img coz i'm curious to know what's inside enbdetail.dds,godrays.dds etc etc.

not my discover , T-ru's . it depends on your sky colors . it your sky is mostly red then try increasing sun color B (blue) . it your sky is mostly blue then try increasing sun color R (red) and sun color G (green) in other parameters (edit iv)
