For those who don't know, Pure Pwnage was a mockumentary webseries about the life of a Pro Gamer and ran from 2004 to 2008, 2008 being the year in which an actor in the webseries, Troy Dixon, who played a gamer, was killed in a car accident. Pure Pwnage was then picked up for actual television in 2010, featured on showcase, ran for 1 season, and was not picked up for a second season. Now, 2012, september, they are wanting donations for a Pure Pwnage movie.
Pure pwnage helped shape gaming culture in many ways, such as the "BOOM! HEADSHOT!" catchphrase originating from Pure Pwnage character, FPS Doug, the catchphrase appeared in Call of Duty: MW2 as a title, CoD: Black Ops whenever you got a headshot in multiplayer, and in Team Fortress 2's Sniper trailer.
