All the Musicians at Gtaforums, heres a something you might be really interested in. This is 'The Best GTAF Musician' topic, here we are about to have this challenge which will help us decide the best musician at Gtaforums. Here's how this will work -

We will have 6 Rounds, of these the first round is just going to get you started. Its mainly for earning some votes and points. The second, third and fourth are where eliminations take place, the fifth is the semi finals and the sixth, the finals.

Your promotions and eliminations as well as your final win are all dependent on votes and points.

For each round leaving the first round, you will be given a particular theme and your song recieves points based on lyrics, instrumental and vocals. Though you are given a theme the genre is completely up to you.

Votes are from the users while its the judges who give points. Maximum points are 5.

I am inviting some judges currently and talking to Tyler about eh, making this better.

You need to make new songs for this.

Round one begins now and ends in a week on friday at 4:32 pm.

I could compete. That is, if I can compete without vocals. I don't do vocals. I don't have anyone to do vocals (assuming you want original lyrics/vocals).

Also, who will be the judges?

Ok, we'll sort something out about the vocals. As for the judges, invited three users and am waiting for their reply.

What do you mean by original vocals? If they aren't original, what will you come up with? Please answer this it will help me in sorting things out.

What I meant is vocals recorded specifically for this contest, not, say, an a capella from Looperman or wherever.

This is a great idea and I would be down for it in a minute, except for the fact of being handed a theme. That I don't think will help garner much attention from gtaf musicians, myself included. If I may I'd suggest a battle of the bands type scenario that way people can give their best material to the thread. Its obviously yur call though.
