As you all know after modding all of our Vehicles.img files will be enlarged at least 3 times more than the old size(87 mb) and mostly they are about 350-300 MB + our added cars that is counted within.
Some car packs around 210 MB seemed not to have major taxi problems or even at all! this shows that the game engine cannot handle this much of memory(that will put on the ram and sometimes you see 2.5/3.5 GB of ram is used!)
After that we had help from Script Writers that made Fixes that nearly all of them made another bug called, texture missing problem:(What does that mean?)
It means that after a while and after loading cars into game, the buildings, trees, walls and objects and textures all disappear one after another which makes the game AWKWARD and UNPLAYABLE! but there are good scripts like Traffic Control System which works fine on Good GPUs
I had been searching a long time, asking people, script writers and none of them gave me a good answer for reducing the File sizes of files such as IMG files and WFT files!
If anyone knows a way to compress IMG files even WFT or WTD file sizes that removes the stupid everyday crap from us, contact me at my e-mail and with the release of this fix, the ones who help us fix this Problem will be DIRECTLY CREDITED in the modding pages as an author and OBVIOUSLY on the homepage of our free website, on the topest part as the fixer of this disaster!

Maybe a plugin from zmodeler can help us decrease file sizes even 25% if possible, because that makes 350mb to 262mb!
The main texture problem directly comes from you .net scripthook (how?):
Count of the scripts you have Script size Scrpit Fonts & Textures that are applied to the game . . . and the texture bug happens when using a Heavy Taxi Fix based on your Graphic Card but it seems that when this had happened on a high-end Graphic card such as Geforce GTX 580, so the main cannot be the fault of your Graphics Card!
so with managing the scripts you need and you dont need you can solve this problem for example a carsell scipt by derdoga which only works on win XP SP3 with 1.0.4.0:
when its in your scripts folder the scripthook will load it on your system memory and will be available until whenever you would like to sell your car, but think wiser, you do not need this script while playing missions, so remove it while playing missions, and in your free time to sell cars, ALT-Tab out and put it back in and load your last save, the scrpit loads! sell your car, save the game, ALT-Tab and then remove it untill your next sale.
you can do this with the awesome car shop mode by endosam too and almost any script which is not necessary during the play
tested car aliases mod(search Google)that causes a massive texture bug even without taxi fixes!
and also use a commandline, chikamrus real traffic mod worked without problems for many people, but not everyone and the commandline file works excellent
MSCVR100D.dll: seemed to have caused a little interval between games texture loads, but on low-end GPUs mostly
Parking mod:Based on the number of parked cars, missing textures will increase, and even with no parked cars, may cause a very little problem
So maybe .net scripthook has an option to enable/disable the scripts ingame for this problem and let us choose the needed scripts for our progress
I even tried using the cacheboost, but it only helped me play+5 minutes before Dissapearings, then the bug is back!!!
WHAT WE MOSTLY NEED IS TO LOWER THESE FILE SIZES, IMG, WFT & WTD, IF ITS POSSIBLE WITH ANY PROGRAM , CONTACT ME The recommended hardware for such a modded GTA IV are:
CPU: Intel Core i3 or higher/AMD Quad core or higher 4.0GB of ram Nvidia Geforce GTX 560 2GB GDDR5/ATI Radeon HD6790 2GB GDDR5

Download cromchen's mods. They are stock vehicles modified to look a bit different. Change to a lower-poly after market taxi, one lower-poly police car (bxbugs/mr. bolleck?)
Change the carcols, change the textures for the city, peds, roads, trees etc. and you'll have your taxi fix. Unfortuntely, I don't think this engine was built to handle 5-8+MB converted cars.
I also noticed with some graphics mods, just the ENB / iCENHANCER version alone almost causes a taxi bug because of the performance drop. I think someone will need to either: A. Augment / Change the values hard coded into the game for memory handling and vehicles. B. Use a lower-poly method of creating cars (converted cars are just as bad)
The textures flickering issue can be caused by a few things. Depends on the type of flickering and when it does it, I guess. I've had flickering textures - caused by DOF / ADOF / DDOF / FXAA + SMAA etc. and general lack of performance from my CPU / GPU / RAM.
I have also found that you can mod many textures in the game, Real Shop Textures, Peds, Signs, Roads, Trees without much performance loss. However, I also noticed that with some textures, like some HD(Really HD) Roads completely kill performance. Same with some trees. IDKY. Also, I put in some HD textures for signs a while back and performance totally went in the can...
Usually cars is the worst performance hog though. Cromchen's / NaidRaida's Stock modified vehicles are a good option though.

when you mod you should keep in mind that GTA IV devs used ultra high end GC , so if you see no more than 4 , 5 or maybe 6 different cars in default traffic at once , you shouldn't except for more . it's up to you to mod inteligently then . i have only 2 (light) scripts installed , pedro2555 asked me to test a third outstanding script he made (which i'll keep secret as it's his script , sry ) and whatever fantastic the script is , i test again and again and if i see a fps drop i won't keep it . that's how it is some scripts are awesome but GTA at high fps is even cooler . for now pedro script doesn't seem to affect fps , hope it'll continue that way This post has been edited by jpm1 on Monday, Oct 1 2012, 17:51
