I voted cheats.

I like to think cheats are a moral test for the player. Sure you can use them but you wont complete the game 100 percent if you do. However you have all the cool sh*t you could ever want if you do.

On the other hand there is a satisfaction to completing the game without the use of any cheats that can't be rivaled in the game. You earn everything you get and after completing the game 100% the cheats are open to you without a punishment, because you earn the right to use them.

Buddies are alright and I want to see then in the game for the benefits however, between a buddy with limited availability and a cheat I can always cause chaos with I will always chose cheats.

This is GTA, so we would have to choose. Thing is, we'd be able to choose either option. So if they did implement your buddy idea, cheat codes would still be in the game. This poll is rather pointless as a result.

GTA is not about realism. It's about fun, committing crimes and doing stuff you'd never do in real life. Cheat Codes are better then friend assistance, I hope they include fun codes like flying cars or driving on the ocean or something like that.

There ammunation for weopons. But I want the city to riot, I want a bounty on my head, I want to bunny hop over fifty feet with a bike. I can take care of enemies so I dont really need assistance like dwaine provided. For me its either both or cheats if I have to choose one.

cheat codes are fun things, whereas the buddy system in GTA felt extremely tedious and not very enjoyable.

So, instead of just entering the numbers for the cheats you want, you could buy them all for 2 dollars? Why not just look up the cheats you want and enter the numbers accordingly?

That would be the biggest rip off I ever heard. A DLC for cheats. That's not a win - win. It's a Lose - Win. You people don't have to spend another dime on the game while we will have to buy for cheat codes. That's just as bad as online passes.

I didn't like the cheats in IV. I tried not to use them but the fact that they were there meant my willpower caved in after a while. It completey took the worth out of cool vehicles like the super gt, turismo, comet, and anniliator. There was no thrill in finding one when you knew you could just call one up in under 10 seconds.
Yes, cheats are cool for 'goofing around' but having fun in free roam doesn't necessarily mean using cheats.

I may have misunderstood what 'buddies' means. It's online/splitscreen coop/freeroam, right? Right?

The poll is pointless, because it's not a good hypothetical question. The buddy thing was in GTA IV and had nothing to do with cheats. I love cheats after I beat the game, but I like getting cars and weapons delivered from friends during the story. They're used for different reasons. One is a necessary game mechanic/feature and the other is just for fun.

An example of a basic hypothetical question would be something like this: Would you rather have the ability to fly or the ability to control time?

Your hypothetical is more like this: Would you rather have the ability to fly or the ability to digest food?

Well, you know, get a better willpower then. I don't see why I should have to suffer because you're weak. If you don't want to use cheats, then don't use cheats. If they're taking the fun and worth out of vehicles don't use them. This is like me having to go to an AA meeting because a drunk driver crashed into my house.
