I'm been saying 3 protags but since reading this I only suspect 2 the spanish guy and the white guy, the spanish obviously shaved his head at some point. Just like in max payne when he shaves his head his hair starts to grow back slowly. I suspect you will be able to do this in gta v

maybe they take an EFLC and GTA:IV approach, but instead of having seperate games, you simply choose a protagonist, and then play intersecting storylines based on which character you chose, with the other character(s)? just a guess...

I'm thinking the same thing, maybe thats the bold new direction they are talking about. Playing as a rich person or playing a poor person. I'm guessing the second trailer will be about the poor guy

To be honest I would prefer this. I'm not really a fan of "multiple protagonists" because it just seems odd. I'm one of those people who stick with what is familiar, and so I would like GTA V just to have one protagonist, I don't really mind if he's old, sick or whatever. If they throw a second, maybe a third protagonist in it would just complicate the game for me. The idea of where you can choose which protagonist you want to play as is a much better option if they want to incorporate a second or third protagonist into the game.

Not to mention this option will also increase the playtime. I finished GTA IV in like... a week or two. It didn't really feel like I got my money's worth or play time. GTA San Andreas on the other hand felt much longer and all the extra jobs and stuff that you could do made it worth it. If you could choose your own protagonist, then chances are of course that when you finished the game, you would start over as the other protagonist. But then they should really make the story different. Give a different perspective.

I never liked those action games where you can choose the protagonist, but the only real difference is the small bonus you get for playing as that person, like +10% more health or whatever.

Yep, i recall this too. But i thought it was his brother? Either way....the twitter said that he was indeed in GTA V. Not sure if it was said protagonist or not though. It's going to be really interesting when we finally find out what role all those characters Ghost pointed out play.

Exactly, even several missions in RDR featured John riding shotgun. I'd personally like more missions like that in GTA V.

That's genius actually, never thought of it like that. Having a "Storyline" menu at the beginning where you can choose the storyline to follow would be way better than characters just switching in-game.
