Oh cool. A key to a non existent place that probably won't sell for anything because it has no purpose. It's just a bit of metal with a Rockstar note. I could make both in 4 hours. A lot less time spent than buying the game and 100 percent-ing it within a week. Talk about not wanting your gamers to play the game for long...

What REALLY bugs me is that the 100% rewards are always accessible via cheat codes. This makes the extensive amount of time needed to get 100% completely POINTLESS.

I basically agree. Vice City's reward was attainable only by getting 100% though. That's the way it should be.

A key, for me at least, isn't worth ruining perhaps the best aspect of GTA games. That is being able to progress through the storyline at your own pace.

Gamers who buy a new game and play it like crack, non-stop until it's over, fascinate me. It took me 6 months to finish IV b/c I like to explore and the story was a bit long (which is good). Then online multiplayer distracted me for a few months and I didn't even play the story, but lots of folks on here don't GAF about playing online, right?

Key to the city? how about release date this month instead?

I like to take my time playing a game as well.

I don't think much of those gamers that buy a game on release full price and finish the game within the first few hours after buying it. Just to say they have already finished the game.

I'm going to take my time with this game to make it last as long as possible. It might even take me a year to complete the story.

I'm sorry but those saying rushing to 100% will ruin the game, that's a lie.. guys like me and others like Zmoonchild have 100% most or every GTA game since III and guess what? Most of us STILL replay the game all over again every month or year, it never gets old for most of us.. maybe for you guys but not for me.

Well, playing the game in a week doesn't 'ruin' the game experience, that's a little too hard expressed. But the first time you go through a storyline, is always different. When you replay a storyline, you already know what's going to happen and some feeling is lost.
GTA V will probably be a game worth replaying (and I will do it lots of times) but I want to keep that new feeling for a time.

Although that key looks really good. It would be nice for the gamers who are used to get a game every week.

If you ask me, its stupid, why would you want to rush a game that has been in development for so long? Just enjoy the game. Enjoy the moment. Because you will have to wait another 5 to 8 years for GTA VI.

No Rush! Oh, and if i want a key to the city, i just buy one on eBay.

2 weeks is more then enough to complete the story and get 100%. Just because i got 100% within two weeks, didnt mean i didnt replay the game. Obviously i still had reason to explore have fun and then the multilayer.

Stop blowing your load.

Yep i agree.. but two weeks is a long time. I completed GTA IV without rushing in less then 30 Hours or something like that. To which you gain an achievement for doing so.

He means finishing the game in two weeks.
If you just bought the game, you'd playing around 2 hours of it everyday approximately
2*14=28

And that's if rush and only do the missions.
A casual person would usually finish the storyline in 35,40 hours, some even 60.
And all of this is only considered as 60% of the game, you have to finish side missions and other unhumane stuff to get to 100%.
It's not as simple as you think,
considering that in the first 2 weeks you don't have a single youtube tutorial showing you where to find a pidgeon or a side mission of your choice.

I can't remember if GTA IV was released simultaneously everywhere, but most of the time North-America gets games few days earlier, which I find really annoying, so if that is the case for V, it wouldn't be fair to European players and players from other continents.

They should have an "announcement" of who ever completing the game within a week gets $1000.

Now say you were in this situation lol, you're all excited, jumping up and down waiting for the mail...got the mail, went back inside, unwrapped the box only to find nothing.

...problem? *trollface*

with how big this map will be and all the area to explore it's going to almost be impossible in 2 weeks.

think about how hard it'll be to find all the hidden sh*t...

This type of reward is completely contradictory to what R*'s motivation for lack of info on V is all about. They said they don't want to release much information so people can get more enjoyment out of discovering things as they play. So what then would the point be to entice fans to run through this game as fast as possible without taking the time to relax and enjoy thoroughly everything that went into making GTAV? Sure you can just replay the game again at a slower pace and take your time, but you and I both know that no matter how differently you replay a game, it will never give you that same "wow" effect as the first playthrough.

Besides, although it's a cool looking item, it's essentially meaningless.
