I've noticed a lot of people on this forum like to hate on nintendo and the Wii in particular, so I was wondering if anybody on this forum liked Legend of Zelda games?
I'm a huge Zelda fan myself, the only reason I own a Wii is for Zelda. LoZ Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword are two of the best games I've ever played, I mostly love them because they are different from other games I like to play, like GTA, but have similiar features that I like, and we can't we can't forget about LoZ Ocarina of Time, which is my favorite game of all time.
So, does anyone else like Zelda? or am I just hallucinating about all the Nintendo hate?

I too have seen a lot of negativity against Nintendo on here. It's sad to see, since Nintendo deserves a lot of respect.
Zelda and GTA are my favorite video game franchises, btw. Those two are the biggest and best in the video game world for me. I love every game I have played from those two giants, and can't decide which I prefer. I think I have more nostalgia towards Zelda since I played it before I did GTA, and it was sort of my first real video game I ever loved (Ocarina of Time/Wind Waker on Gamecube - which was my first console too).
However, GTA seems to be heading up and up yet Zelda, whilst SS was masterful, seems to be heading further away from the greatness of Ocarina and such. I believe the backlash against Wind Waker made Nintendo buckle at the knees and decide to do fan service instead of continue to innovate.
Let's hope Zelda remains legendary.

FRESH NEWS

Huge production value, great technology, massive manpower and focus? Fantastic. Zelda deserves nothing less.
Huge dungeons that take hours to complete? That sounds like it's just big for the sake of being big, not because the dungeon is well done or innovative. It doesn't matter how time consuming the dungeons are, what matters is the design, pace, atmosphere and style of the dungeon.
But nevertheless, I've always wanted Zelda/Nintendo to put a real emphasis on the technology of the game. Ocarina's success was also due to the revolution in its pioneering in video game tech, and pushed the boundaries of the medium, broadening our imagination. I'm not exactly saying it should have state of the art graphics, but Nintendo needs to give Zelda the potential to be as great as a Zelda can be by not limiting it in any - including the technology building it.
I hope they are indeed taking note from Rockstar and how they treat their baby.

I've been playing Skyward Sword, and I think the one downfall of this franchise is the lack of voice acting, and the redundant dialog. They'll say, "Zelda is at the temple." Then say, "The temple is over there." Then say, "Be careful there are monsters in the temple." Then say, "You need to go over there to the temple with monsters to find Zelda." And then, "Are you sure you understand?" And finally, "Okay, then go to the temple with the monsters to find Zelda. Good Luck."
And it's like this with practically every little thing. They can't just cut the fat and say, "Go to the temple and find Zelda." It has to be the translation from Japanese. They say two words in Japanese, and it's like two sentences in English.
