I have a Linksys WRT54G v5 router (about 7-8 years old) and wifi was working fine until today, when all of a sudden it became extremely slow. I've turn off/on, reset, change SSID/Wifi channel/Wifi mode/Security mode/password/update firmware and none of those options got it to work, it's still slow. I also update my other desktop's wifi drivers, thinking it's that but it's still slow. I even tried my 2 other notebooks wifi as well as my smartphone and they all do the same thing. But when I used a wired connection, the internet works fine. Using speedtest on my systems and smartphone with wifi, download test is around 0.46Mb/s to 0.63Mb/s Using a wired connection on the same exact same systems, I get 2.84Mb/s <<< that's how fast my connection is, but it's good for me. Has my router's wifi gone kaput, or what?
