So I'm really into rap that has great flow and a great beat. By great beat I don't mean beats that are like what some underground artists put out, like the jazzy kinda stuff. I think what I like are the 'club beats'.
The best example for what I'm talking about:
I'm looking for some of the lesser known songs that fit my description, not the stuff by 50 Cent, etc.

Mos Def has some great music if you're looking at flow, as does Pharoahe Monch. Both are influenced by jazz, so that really accounts for their awesome (in my opinion) delivery.

My favorite is Nas. Also look up these artists: Crooked I Royce Da 5'9 Ya Boy Cassidy Cory Gunz Pusha T Just to name a few, all the above rappers have unique flows.

Alphabet Aerobics by Blackalicious is amazing if you like flow. Every word in every sentence goes through the alphabet, meanwhile the tempo increases to an incredibly fast rap. For example...
"Artificial amateurs, aren't at all amazing Analytically, I assault, animate things Broken barriers bounded by the bomb beat Buildings are broken, basically I'm bombarding Casually create catastrophes, casualties Cancelling cats got their canopies collapsing Detonate a dime of dank daily doin dough..."

I agree with the above post - i was introduced to it last year, very enjoyable. I would suggest checking otu Sway, his debut 'This is my Demo' is highly impressive; great word-play, and he can rap awfully fast and whitty.

Cyne, Cyne, Cyne and Cyne, holy f*cking sh*t, please listen to Cyne.
Cyne ~ Escape
Cyne ~ Pretty Apollo
Cyne ~ Elephant Rome
Also Tonedeff, Cunninlynguists, 7L and Esoteric, Camp Lo, KRS One, Jean Grae, Jedi Mind Tricks, Substantial, Busdriver (for the more avante garde), Aesop Rock, Riz MC, Zion I and so many more I'm not even going to bother because I probably could go on for hours. Hip-Hop was my first true musical love, from third grade on I've loved it. Hell, I only a couple days ago realized almost a third of my 45gb music library is a various mix of Hip-Hop and Rap (which is significant considering the rest of the library is a concoction of pretty much every musical genre imaginable). So if you want more suggestions if you happen to burn through this list feel free to PM me.
EDIT: Also, on the subject of Blackalicous' Alphabetic Aerobics, I raise you a Word Association.
7L And Esoteric ~ Word Association
