GTA 4 game exits abruptly

Player Hater Group: Members Joined: Sep 1, 2012	While playing the game it stops suddenly and I get a message that GTA4 stopped responding the game exits... Below is the LAPTOP config that I use... Intel Core i7 Quad 2670QM 2.2 GHz 6GB DDR3 Ram GE Force 540 M 1GB Graphic card 500 GB HDD Can some one please suggest what could be the problem?

Keep riding hard, son Group: Members Joined: Feb 14, 2008	I don't think this is overheating related, the system would behave differently in such circumstances.

Vice city citizen Group: Members Joined: Sep 26, 2005	overheating it starts with lags . update to 1.0.7.0 and check your graphic drivers are up to date . don't know the card myself but maybe the card is not powerful enough . laptops from the few i know about are known to run on integrated graphics or low end GC card ..?
