Hello, I am creating this topic to discuss everything from Police, Fire, EMS, SWAT, and FIB. I figured it would be easier then making a topic for everything individually. I only ask that everything here is kept civil and everyone respects one another. So, let us start off. Post about anything emergency service related things.

I'd like for the AI to be changed a bit. Like police do actual moves police cars do in real life, ex: pit manuvers etc.
For the fire department to actually respond to fires unlike in IV.
It'd be cool if hurt peds would be loaded onto the strecher onto the ambulance if CPR doesn't work.. That's all I can think of for now.

I hate how sh*t the AI was. The police, fire & ambulance services drove like retards just smashing into traffic & not giving a sh*t.

I hope that there are more realistic lights. The ambulance had grille, side & rear lights that it didn't use so I hope that all three services have better lights on their vehicles (including wig-wag headlamps).

It'd be better if we could get off with one or two stars by paying a fine or some other punishment instead of having to be arrested.

It'd be good if the fire service actually did something in V since in IV, it was useless.

I hope that somebody actually replies to this with their opinion.

Yeah. I tried calling them when the first safe house was burning and when the taxi business was on fire. I think it wouldn't work because it was a mission. But I called the cops during another mission and it worked. I guess it didn't work in the burning mission because they wouldn't do sh*t anyways.

There weren't any missions that you had to use it in, but you could use it to spray people. That was pretty hilarious.

I sometimes never post in "non-official" topics but here we go.

As far as the police aspect goes.
I was to be able to play as a police officer, just cruise around the map, pulling over ped, attending accident scenes and giving out tickets.
That would just be epic for me.
Love that mod in GTA IV.

Yeah I know but that was simply the only use which isn't good enough, in my opinion. It was great spraying people & cars then watching them try to beat you up but you could just spray them away.

This popped in my head after reading through this; could a tow truck be considered an emergency vehicle? Like say you get your car stuck or flipped over, you could call up a tow truck and they'll get it unstuck or flipped back. I think that'd be pretty neat.

Well, we have cop cars. Let's discuss EMS/Firetruck.

For one, Rockstar needs to get their sh*t with the EMS and Fire vehicles. They have done some nice polishing with the police cars, such as adding a new Dodge Charger and updating the old hunk of junk CVPI to a more modern one (albeit a 90s Impala front).

First, the ambulance MUST, and I mean MUST be updated. All the ambulances in the GTA series had one thing in common, red and white color, boxy, and just said *insert city name here* AMBULANCE. Bullsh*t.

Haha, I don't recall EVER not laughing to how annoyed the peds got when you spray them!

So funny. I remember one time I sprayed someone, then I drove off to do something else. Then about 2 minutes later, the same ped pulls me out of the fire engine and starts beating on me. I'd completely forgotten about the spraying incident, but he was still PISSED!! Genius

I still find it really odd that in America Fire Departments run the Ambulances lol!

They DO need to change though, as Death2Drugs said the Ambulance has barely changed since III! Sam with Fire Engines/Tenders, a few different types would be good especially with the countryside returning in V. You could have a couple of different ones in the city and maybe a slightly older looking model (only 10 years old or something) in a small town somewhere.
Also, yellow airport fire engines with firemen wearing silver heat reflecting suits:


And off-road fire engines and vehicles for fighting wild fires in the countryside:





Overall AI needs to be improved as well. The amount of times an Ambulance would turn up but run over a bunch of people when it pulls up on the pavement lol!
