| QUOTE (LolBurn @ Tuesday, Aug 28 2012, 22:15) | | Really tho think about it two major titles in one year | That sh*t happens all the time. It's not like they start working on titles right after another. Titles are worked on simultaneously. Sure, more attention is put on the one that's released first. But after that, their attention is focused on the next one. My personal opinion though, is that it won't be released this year. Hell yeah, I want the game, but if they're not done working on it, let them take their time to finish. I know someone's going to say "Take their time???? Isn't that what they've been doing??" --> Well yes, but I'd rather wait longer for a finished game than get it now with parts of the map missing, sh*t going crazy in the game, etc. I've designed basic games before and am a computer science major that programs all the time. The biggest issue (IMO) is the delay by Max Payne 3. Something wasn't on schedule for MP3, so they had to delay it. Now, their working on GTA V and fixing it's issues. Oftentimes it's difficult because you fix one thing and 10 other things go wrong (in the programming). Pain in my white, wide ass. Anyway, they've got a release date --- that's for sure. It's just not made public. Otherwise they run into the possibility of having to publicly delay it.

I'll keep this in mind in the middle of October. | They are talking about game details, not release date. It does not indicate a short marketing campaign, it indicates their USUAL marketing campaign.

They changed the end of the fical year so they could have more time to make more money. Every GTA has been released in October, or has been schedules to release in October, but has been delayed.
Of course, the game is obviously not coming out in October, unless R* is as unpredictable as I think they are. Still doesn't rule out a 2012 release. | I think you misunderstood, the game is coming in March in my opinion.

Hey assholes, you don't know it's coming out in 2013, stop saying it like it's fact! Once R* says 2013, then go right ahead. Until then, get off your high horse and respect other people's opinions | This has irony written all over it, nice one bro

Please do. You should make it your sig or something. Seriously, that confirms GTA V will be released in October? in 1 to 2 months? First of all, it's an assumption, not a confirmation. Second, you're saying that, while we only had one trailer, some screenshots, and no idea what the story is or who the protagonist(s) is/are? Not to mention - didn't Dan Houser or R* state that they only release one game yearly? is that a confirmation? I don't know, but I'm not assuming there. @Johncamigames: It really does.

| QUOTE (capei @ Wednesday, Aug 29 2012, 04:27) | #FACT
If GTA V is coming out this year, the statement "GTA V is coming out in 2012" is true. This would make the statement "GTA V is coming out in 2013" false. Technically, "GTA V will come out in 2013, if and only if it doesn't come out in 2012." This is more probable, but obviously not 100% guaranteed.
Therefore, GTA V will come out in 2013 if and only if it doesn't come out in 2012, 2014 or later. |
This.

The reasons for or against 2012 has been said a million times. Since you don't know let me say, welcome to the GTA forums. The questions you are asking are here in multiple threads starting from months and months ago. You are welcome.
2012 is indeed still on the table not out of insanity but financial commitment to take-two interactive. The numbers are very very big. It is also possible even likely the game will be released in early 2013 and still meet the financial deadlines due the end of march. From the last 2 quarterly updates we know that if GTAV is released after March it is late/delayed. So people that believe in the possibility of a 2012 release are looking at financial statements over pessimistic 2013 emotional trainwrecks who will in fact burn their own penises off if their believe that they must be aware of all happenings behind R* closed doors must be made public to them, or it doesn't exist yet, ie, a nearly finished, ready to release grand theft auto sequel. Hope it taste like bacon flexible penis-less weirdo.
Also Max Payne 3 and GTAV are made by two seperate entities under the R* umbrella and it is entirely possible for both to be released in the same year. The one title per year only belive is unfounded as R* would not sit on a finished game instead of turning it into millions upon millions of dollars.
When the game is done, it will be released. That is the deciding factor for 2012 or 2013. Not previous release dates of GTA and certainly not Max Payne 3.

Also it's quite ironic to say "if their believe that they must be aware of all happenings behind R* closed doors must be made public to them", because from what I've seen here, the majority of people who think so believe that GTA V will be released this year. Not to mention, "2013 emotional trainwrecks"? Nah, I do what is called "thoughtful and logical" assumptions, not "automatically confirmed once thought of" ones.

All I`m saying is anyone who believes in the possibility of a 2012 release got that way looking at the financials from take-two, but are subject to constant attack from people who think it must be May 2013 or later because R* hasn`t showed them enough of the game. I would say it is indeed emotional baggage from somewhere that they are so deeply offended for no reason. Gotten to the point where it is better to bite your tongue then say yes, I think GTAV will be here for Xmas. So yes I might be biased now. Just look at the thread opener. I don`t need some pimple telling me I`m stupid because he hasn`t seen enough trailers and screen shots (which we have both already). When the game is done we will get it no matter what year it is.

I found it humorous how in a thread created to discuss people's guessing of a release date you had to point out that Rockstar has not announced a release date, as if that's not why people are guessing a release date. It got even better once you called those people asinine without considering exactly how your posting sounded.
As for release, I think it's definitely possible they could release this year. Rockstar doesn't want to spoil the game and so they aren't showing as much of the game as usual. With social media today, they could make a simple tweet of the release date and within a day anyone who cares about the game would know about it. However, it's unknown at what stage the game is, which is the determining factor. The screens look mostly polished, but they could still have a bit of audio to do as well as mission scripting. I have noticed they have seem to have filled some jobs they had listed a month or two ago, of course who knows if those were directly related to GTA. I'm at the 90% towards 2013 and 10% towards 2012. I'll be okay if I'm wrong.
