| QUOTE (YukiFruitsBasket @ Monday, Aug 27 2012, 00:43) | | Im only 15 but I've been riding dirtbikes since I could walk And with mx vs atv alive being the last game of the series and the last offroad fury game was released on the ps2, is this the end of mx and atv games.? That game called 'mud' sucked terribly. Also, motocross simulator or whatever it is was ok, but I want something fresh and new. Not the crap they come out with now, like pure, or motorstorm. Dont get me wrong, i loved motorstorm, but i want a dedicated game to atvs and dirtbikes, like mx vs atv. I think it would be nice if EA made an mx vs atv type game with the same style as skate or something. How do you feel? What do you think? | I can never seem to enjoy MX or ATV games, they're never great games. But that being Said Trials HD and Trials Evolution are all I need in way of Motorbiking games.

Yeah, Unleashed for ps2 was the best one imo. I loved that it was one of the first such games with such a vast selection of different vehicles. Sand rails, golf carts, planes (!). All it was missing was lawnmower races I got Untamed on 360, and I managed maybe 5 hours of play, then got bored. It didn't add anything new, and many things were taken out. I tried the demo for Reflex, but the only standout thing I saw was the real terrain effects. I never bothered to look into Alive, simply because it barely marketed (i didn't even know it existed until I saw it at Walmart), showing how much faith the designers had in the game, so I just assumed it was more of a copy/paste of Reflex. When I first got a ps2, i got ATV Offroad Fury, and loved it. It was only ATVs, but oh well, it was innovative for 2001. I got Offroad Fury 4, which was cool because of it's story (can't remember it much, was probably 10 when I played it. These games basically go to show the gaming industry as a while, becoming more on graphics and money than features and playability. The two franchises were better in their early incarnations, but less so every consecutive release (like CoD) Off-topic: This belongs in Gaming Chat.

Thesedays the only way you'd probably get a decent game would be published at the control of SCEE, or one of the other few publishers who aren't exclusively focused on making money (like EA, I hasten to add).
