At the start of the run I always mark the finish line to make it mindless and easy to stay on course.

I have noticed during regular gameplay that sometimes with "one way streets" the GPS acts like I care about the traffic laws...so can it mislead you during a cannonball run?

Yes. The GPS only shows you the fastest LEGAL way to your destination. Even If all legal it still doesn't show you the fastest way. So yea, you're better off without the GPS and using the 2 seconds looking at the map.

Yeah, I learned years ago, just from doing solo missions, that the GPS route is never the fastest way.
