LOTR:TFSOTR hands down.

JFK is lackluster look of a conspiracy theory headed by a director who is long past is usefulness. Oliver Stone tried to craft an intriguing thriller from nothing.

LOTR:TFSOTR is the best adaptation of the first book that could happen. As such, it wins because it begins the epic that is LOTR.

However, the LOTR trilogy overall is crapsh*t. Peter Jackson murdered the books but not to the extent Oliver Stone murdered JFK.

Lord of the Rings for sure, not sure why the f*ck I even nominated JFK tbh. I think some of the supporting characters were played excellently, Tommy Lee Jones was fun and Gary Oldman was great as Oswald (why hasn't anyone made an Oswald movie before? It would debunk a lot of myths and would be an interesting take) but ultimately its pretty poor overall, basically being a giant fantasy. Lord of the Rings is based on one of the best novels of all time and Jackson nailed it, Fellowship was an amazingly filmed gem with lots of great characters, action etc.

I didn't think JFK was so bad.
it was certainly intriguing. although sometimes it felt like Stone was trying way too hard.

The Fellowship is easily the better and more entertaining / memorable film.
LOTR get's my vote.
