Can anyone help me with the water.dat I'm trying to find one that is flat like smooth water no waves.

change water texture in water.wtd (open iv, textures folder OR pc/textures)
also you need 3dsmax and GIMS IV plugin to import water in the program and change waves density and all that stuff.

You can just edit the water.dat it seems more simple but i just dont have the time to do it.

agree with @danny

it's incredible complicated

you'd think it's standard geometry (x, y, z) for the planes but it's a bit more complicated than that.
also it doesn't list what all the integers means.
i fiddled with shorelines.dat and haven't really looked into seeing if i screwed that up.

i believe dkt70 made a water.dat file. not sure how he did it though.

couldn't be arsed to fiddle with it personally.

you can change the water quality in the start menu->Graphics to low and it will have a lot of less waves.(smoother)
ask people who made the gostown paradise cuz they did smooth, great and clearest water i've ever seen in GTA IV.

Plus this is for xboxx version of gta so it would have yo be the texture of the water or the water.dat
