Hey. I have recently bought GTA IV for my PC. I have 2 laptops which I use, and I began by downloading it onto an older one. I got pretty far in the download, and when I started up the game and the game was loading it stopped and freezes. I tried again multiple times and it wouldnt work, so I uninstalled it, and redownloaded it onto my newer laptop (Only a week old). It has downloaded correctly and everything, however it is really laggy. Most of the time the floor is blue, and my car is flying, builindgs are no appearing, so I am driving in to invisible things and crashing my car and the game is really slow and laggy. Also the graphics are blurred in some places, adn are 'sharp' in others. I went into the graphics options page, and it says I have exceeded a storage limit and that I need to change the settings. I try to change the settings, however it does not let me. Is this usuual for the PC? I am used to using GTA on the PS3, im only using the PC to try and use mods etc, but so far i havent got very far in doing that . Is there any way in stopping all of this lagging from happening? Thank This post has been edited by Mint5mint5 on Wednesday, Aug 22 2012, 16:02

What's your Video card? How much VRAM you have? But, the problem on both right now, is the Processor speed is way below minimum for this game...Plus, they are both Single-Core processors and IV needs AT LEAST a strong Dual core or better to run...If you had read the box the game comes in AND the Pinned "Can I run it..." thread, you would have seen you do not meet minimum requirements for the game-no offence... There is nothing you can really do except get a better PC, since laptops cannot be easily upgraded.... You can play GTA III, VC, and SA-but definitely NOT IV and EFLC....

However, this doesn't change the fact that the game will probably not run on either laptop smoothly unfortunately.
