Okay, serious discussion here... If you can't appreciate criticism, don't bother to post.
Look at the car:



The first thing that popped in my head was, what the hell is this? This new rendition of the beloved Cheetah just looks like... f*cking overkill. This is not what i'd expect from GTA. Look at those massive wheelarches, the front ones even got giant airintakes on top, looks like some Ridge Racer sh*t to me.

Who agrees that what we see here is leaning more towards being over-the-top (i.e. Saint's Row type cars) instead of the more 'realistically' inspired cars (i.e. GTA IV)? Why do i ask? Because unless we get car customization (which is likely, hence the custom paintjob) i think R* caved and GTA V will be more of a fun-type sandbox game with silly minigames instead of a more 'mature' V like GTA IV.

I'm a LONG time fan, a lot of you are also, so ask yourselves: would this car look right in GTA IV?

During the IV games, we got a solid gold car and a solid gold helicopter. I think this Cheetah will fit in just fine.

Maybe the fun/silly sandbox type is the 'new bold direction' they were referencing? But I hope not, I really wish for a grounded, dark game similar to GTA IV (But more in TBoGT-esque)

I think it looks fine.. I'd be very happy if they included car customisation. I also don't see how it could be indicative of any 'mini games' of any type.. I do expect it to be a fun 'sandbox' though, like all the others, including IV, which was just as 'immature' as any other GTA.

Agreed that isn't a true Cheetah in my opinion. The Cheetah is a Ferrari, this os an ugly pile of crap imo.

Looks fine to me. There'll be plenty of 'normal' cars. I just hope the game depicts these kinds of cars realistically... unlike past games where you'd see about 5 or 6 lined up at the same intersection, etc. GTA definitely needs to improve the cars it spawns, and make it much more random, as up to know it's always been clumps of specific vehicles at a time, and really helps kill the realism, fun, and randomness factor.

Perhaps the Cheetah will be head and shoulders above the rest as far as speed is concerned.. I think it would be acceptable to have it a little over the top looking in that case.. Also ^ a good point is the mod possibility.

Yeah the cheetah has always been a ferrari, weird that they change that now.

Engineers find any little way to reduce drag on super cars to take full advantage of the vehicles capabilities. Unfortunately, the outcome is an odd looking car. But that is what I think makes them unique and they are becoming the new most desirable vehicles on the market. Too bad almost none of us can afford them.

Well I think it looks sick.
If we got something more along the lines of what it used to look like we'd have a thin Infernus.
Not saints row at all and it is based off a real car or a mix of 2 real cars.

It's natural progression, in IV DLC's we saw some awesome bikes and only a couple of good cars, now it's time for awesome cars and not just the Infernus.

We are in Hollywood now, the land of the RICH and famous.

You could find cars in GTAIV with different body kits on them too. But hopefully you can customise them ourself, then you can have it look to your own tastes.
