Having screens is one thing but having information is another thing. It may be possible that GI do a cover of GTA V and give us information it all depends if R* want that information to be shared yet. 50/50 in other words.

It's a possibility.. I don't think we will see a release of the actual game until next year though. I don't think proper marketing of V will start until late October or early-mid November since they won't want to over shadow the Max Payne 3 DLCs which will be released right up until the end of October. The release of the screenshots today I think was partly to fill a gap between Max Payne info, New patch for Max Payne last week (that unexpectedly got pushed into this week for some users due to technical issues), GTA V screens this week and The Disorganised Crime pack next week (if they keep to their promise of releasing it this month). Full marketing for Max Payne 3 didn't start until the release of the first trailer last September (which gave a release date of March 2012), GTA is a more powerful franchise name so it will need less marketing so there will still be enough scope for a Late Spring/Early Summer 2013 release. L.A. Noire also had a similar time frame marketing wise so it seems likely.

But the screens have given us information. We know who the protagonist is (and if you want to argue that fact, you're just butthurt because we have to play as an 'Old Fat White') and we know that the game is pretty much done. The only reason to think that 2012 release won't happen, is that Rockstar hasn't come out and said it yet.

GI could very well have a GTA V cover for their October Issue, but I'm not getting my hopes up about it.

Multiple protagonists is a possibility but I do agree we know at least one of them it seems.

How do we know the game is almost done? Also the very main reason I think there is a very slim chance of a 2012 release is due to what very little information we have on the game and the amount of months left until the end of the year.

Now I agree the screens give us a little bit of information but when CI do a cover on a game by my understanding they do a 8-10 page article or something like that. Screens do not provide enough information to write a one page article let alone more so as I said before it's up to R* if they want any information to be made public so CI can do a cover on the game. CI apprently share new information. Do you understand now?

Because the September cover was revealed at the start of this month and it's some Army of Two BS.

Magazines are a month ahead of us. Their October cover will be revealed/released in September.
