Seriously, why would you assassinate someone on a train, rather than in his house, or somewhere with no people around? I don't really see the use of a train in the game really.

He escaped to a train, the target has no car and knows public place is the safest place. Knowing you can't wait for him to just roll away to the FIB for witness protection, its either now or never *queue parachuting on a moving train and finding the target only to be ambushed by his handful of goons. Finally you put a bullet in his head and now must escaped*

That was just off the top my head/making it up as I went along. Trains are fun.

I suggest it's a long-distance train travelling across the state. Not a commuter train. It would be nice to have both types of train in the game though as fully interactive. Or hijacking cargo trains and stealing items from them. One mission could involve hijacking a train full of military vehicles/weapons/explosives etc.

not necessarily.. remember in gta IV a train had multiple stops in one particular city so it does not really allude to the fact that there are other cities even tho its inevitable that there will be.. they could give a couple screens of passenger trains or cargo trains and not spoil much
