Do you have knowledge of anyone being a police officer, FBI agent, or any other type of law enforcement person as a career and play GTA periodically; not just once? Lawl

Cops are people too son, they do all the things everyone else does like cheat on their wives, watch porn, question if they really love their children and play violent video games.

Yep, Swarz is a cop.
Why would that be something so... odd, that you have to ask? You can't expect them to play 911: First Responders or Hospital Tycoon all day, just because they're cops. I'd rather they shoot innocent people in IV, not in my local area.

Swarz is a cop, that guy with the terrible name mentioned above is a cop, if I remember right Northwest Rastafarian is or was training to along with several others (granted, not together obviously), and Kajun as well if memory serves me right.

I think a better question is why the hell wouldn't they? Sure they do, but of course the only reason is so they can get inside the mind of a criminal in order to better understand them and improve their own law enforcement techniques and methods. They would never do it for their own enjoyment.

And I completely agree with that. It's not because they're cops that they need to focus only on being a cop, even when they're playing video games. They must have some entertainment like everyone else.
I'm hoping to get into policing in a couple of years. My job would never influence what games I play, because games are just games and just meant for fun.

Police officers do not look to video games to 'get inside the mind of a criminal', nor do they use them 'in order to better understand them and improve their own law enforcement techniques and methods'.
Officers learn all about how a criminal operates by spending time on the beat and going into specialist areas, not by playing video games that simulate (to an extent) criminal behaviour. Real life >>> video games. The lessons are learnt in real life - first hand experience.
I am good friends with a police constable in the UK, she is a big fan of GTA and Need For Speed games. I also know several aspiring police officers who play GTA and other games for pure enjoyment.
Contrary to what many people believe - to quote EscoLehGo - cops are people too.

yeah I really hope not...
I do wonder what it's like to play a game where cops are portrayed as lying, devious c*nts and are seen as the enemy. I remember some hilarious cop jokes in San Andreas when their chasing you in a helicopter and one of them comments they can see their house from up there.
