Wouldn't it be better to see which is better specification wise than just going with the one that successes the console you already have? I have a 360 and I would happily go for the next Sony console if the graphics and performance were simply better than the next Xbox's. Getting them on launch wouldn't exactly be a good idea though.

It's obvious that the next Sony console will be better than the next Xbox.

Sony said they will start the PS4 after the next Xbox has been released/announced, so it will most likely have newer parts which means better specs.

This is true. The xbox is far behind now. No offence to xbox fans. But all PS3 units have wireless, blutooth, bluray and hard drives. None of the fat model 360`s have any of those. The slim has blutooth, hard drives and wireless but thats it. the PS3 on the other hand has the upper hand on this stuff. And all newer 360 games are starting to be forced onto 2 or more disks because microsofts idiot decision to use 9GB dvd`s. And despite what people say, the next xbox will not have a blue ray drive, because sony owns blue ray. They wont allow it. Thats why nintendo was forced to make there own 25GB disks for the wii u.

I have a perfectly good 360 that just sits here and hasn't been turned on but for a few minutes this year. In fact I'm afraid to turn it on and have it go RROD. I only bought the damn thing for IV and I don't regret it when the PC port was initially such a f*ck up. I just hope it lives through V.

So about the only thing that will sucker me into buying another console from one of these cretins will be GTA VI, provided Rockstar keeps up their 7-month PC delay. Other than that, Steam and the eternally upgradeable PC platform are my gaming family now.

Honestly ive never understood the fan wars. As said above, there the same thing almost. Besides the fact PS3 has blue tooth and Blue Ray, but like said, there almost the same. PS3 and 360 are fine. Wii on the other hand is an utter piece of garbage and is worse then others systems in that gen.

I voted for Xbox simply because I suspect Alan Wake 2 will be a launch title. Also I think Forza is vastly superior to GT. Otherwise I've been disappointed by Microsoft's lack of commitment to the core gamer.

That's just obvious flamebait. Also, atleast be rational, I see no way in which Forza is "vastly superior".

Just because you like the easy arcadey driving mechanics doesn't make it "vastly superior" it makes it an arcade racer that you enjoy.

Yet GT5 has more cars, better graphics, alot more realistic driving mechanics, better multiplayer (as in the community isn't full of 7 year olds who scream through their mics and make comments about your mother) and I'm sure the servers are better too.

Anyway that's totally off-topic and irrelevent.

I'll probably stick to the Xbox again as it's what everyone has and I don't really care about the two discs per big games because I install them all to the hard drive anyway. I would like say though that it has not been confirmed that the next Xbox will not have BluRay. I'm just hoping for a console that can output a game at 1080p (not upscaled).

Even though it's not in the poll, the PS4 slim. Seriously, it seems every console has some sort of issue at release - and they are also priced incredibly high. I'd rather wait until they release it again with all the fixes and everything, and at a cheaper price. It's what I did when I got my PS3. So I'll still have my PS3 the same amount of time that someone got it when it first released, and when the PS4 is first released - compared to getting the PS3's re-release and the PS4's re-release.
