So I was playing GTA IV, after a loooong time of playing it with no crashes, and then it crashed. When I tried to restart the game it said: Fatal error: Gta IV needs a sound card in order to run.
This is different from the other topics with this problem because I have already completed the story and played alot after that, and I got that error all the sudden.
(If this info is helpful, exactly 1 time every time I played the game would stop (not the audio though, it would continue/loop), the screen would go black and then after 2 seconds the game came back)
EDIT: Turns out I only had to restart the PC. God I feel stupid.

Completely went out? Do you have a separate sound card?
