So wow.. I think I found out something new with boat school, but as I did with the SA Rhino Boost and Burglary with Camera gimmicks, I ask if they were discovered before I did first and if they are true on other platforms. I have found 3 things regarding the boat school. Sorry if its long to read, but its worth it.
1- Boat school resets the time to 12:51 PM. It makes sense because are you going to learn boats in the night time when you can collide to another boat or a strip of land? The answer is nope. I am sure this happens cause I was doing "Basic Seamanship" and sometimes I stopped outside of the stop destination so I just press Enter. One time I pressed enter when it was almost nighttime, and went back into the test, only to see the clock at 12:51 PM. Tested many times.
2- You beat "Land, Sea, and Air," get the mission passed text, and quickly rush into the boat school monitor. You see the world in a very faint white color, then it skips to an image of the guy that shows up in the monitor when choosing "Land, Sea, and Air," this time it takes place outside the monitor. After the text fades out, the black parts that represent the monitor and the other text show up again. Tested twice. Here is a screencap
http://screenshot.xfire.com/s/125031352-4.jpgWhich makes it safe to say that what you see in the monitor is actually happening in your world, but you cannot see it from CJ's view. This is made true by the fact that the game lags with me in certain areas, and if it were a recorded movie it wouldn't lag.
3- I'm not sure of this one, but it appeared suddenly, and didn't test it again after finding it out. In "Land, Sea, and Air," by accident I flipped the hovercraft off the ramp to the point where CJ's head is looking down at the water. When the hovercraft touched the water, I got wasted instantly, despite the fact my health bar was intact (100% plus ambulance bonus all full when this happened) and my armor never went down. I'd test it later to make sure whether its just a one time bug or not, but IIRC, flipping the hovercraft would allow you to go underwater.
Now I'm asking you guys if you could check whether these 3 things are true or not, and if its discovered before me or not. Search did not bring up a thing. I have the v1.0 PC version, and that's where I found these.
