| QUOTE (Matt4936 @ Friday, Aug 17 2012, 21:36) | In GTA the roads are wider than what they are in real life. When you look at Liberty City from above you can see this. I do think that the size of the road is a good size because 'not so perfect' car handling. For example, in Driver San Francisco, the roads were a lot narrower than GTA's roads and this made driver a bit harder, in that you would constantly be hitting cars in other lanes and going of e line when making any sort of turn.
In the scene, in the trailer, on the freeway I think there was three lanes going each way. Any more than that and the city will look very small because of the enlarged lanes. Personally I would like to have more lanes on freeways and main roads but it will make everything around look a lot smaller. | your just a crap driver

I just drive the larger vehicles such as busses and trucks. | The lanes on the freeways seen looked perfectly fine to me. There was actually four lanes going north though. I agree with you on Driver San Francisco. Everytime I got a big rig, I always crashed, every driving like a normal person because the roads were so narrow.

GTA roads aren't very much wider and when you consider they often don't have a proper shoulder or median the total width of a major roadway in GTA is probably less than would actually be required. I've noticed the game seems to be designed to keep side-by-side vehicles separated enough that a regular size car can squeeze between them without hitting.
