I couldn't find a previous thread on this, so I'll start one. How do you think taxis can be improved from original IV? I've been thinking:

*being able to mug/rob the driver
*being able to roll up/down the windows
*being able to do cab missions from the taxi

Not enough taxis? I have GTA IV on PC, vehicle density on 100% sometimes and 30% of the vehicles are taxis.

Also maybe they could make it so that to try and stop you from skipping the car journy everytime they could have the taxi driver tell differnt interesting and funny stories

Armed drivers and more ethnic drivers would be logical, plus having even more minivan cabs, more publicity and different colours, I've seen red taxis on California, why not?

Proper taxi missions is the one thing I really missed in IV, yeah you could do them for Roman early on in the game but it wasn't the same. You should be able to jump in any taxi and press the thumb stick and pick up passengers, I used to spend ages on Vice City and San Andreas getting 50 in a row bonuses and sh*t.

I thought the taxi system in IV was almost perfect, even if the cab drivers were useless. At least when you were in the back of one of Roman's taxis, you could shoot from the window without the driver fleeing in terror. Had a lot of fun when I found that out.

I had an odd glitch in GTAIV, I don't know if it was me or someone else fired off the first round but, I was able to shoot while in the cab. He drove around like a crazy mad man screaming. I could not change my destination or anything except get out.

In chase missions, you jump into a taxi and say, "Follow that car!"

I can see the protagonist/antagonist riding in a taxi and as he rolls down the tinted window, he sprays a person. In a mission of course.

I hated how in GTA IV the taxi driver would always leave his car after you shot outside the window. I hope in GTA V you can somehow point the gun at him and make sure he keeps driving.
