Some times you know certain missions will seem more realistic or more fun at night or day. I like not to rush through a mission knowing that I have a lot of time for each (day/night).

I'd prefer 24 hour days with a wait feature a la Skyrim.

Yes, a 'wait' system would be nice.

6 RL secs = 1 in-game minute
ie: 10x faster than RL

Yes! Days are too short. Start a mission in the sunlight, then cutscene... bam, total darkness. Was I abducted by aliens? Did I stay and have dinner with the mob boss?

Know the feeling, sometimes between missions and saves you would find yourself only active at night. I would like to see 72 min days, eventually R* will increase days even further.

Anything other than 24 min. In Vice City you would start a mission at night and end it at like noon.

The shadows would be moving pretty fast with a 24 minute day. 48 minutes is OK.

I would like to see either shorter nights or longer sunrise-sunset transitions to total darkness, however. When I sleep at nightfall in RDR and get up 6 game hours later, it's still dark for several game hours, not so fun.

Also, a short day would be not so fun with a big map - if you have to drive a long way, a good part of the daylight is gone.

i would like to see 3 minute hours in GTA V, making a whole day 72 minutes long.

this would vastly improve gameplay if a stealth system, NPC crimes, ambient-light dependent firearm accuracy, and/or time-dependent pedestrian presence and traffic was/were to be implemented.

Shadows moved to fast in GTA IV even. I really want a day to be near 60 minutes, and I want the daytime to be a bit longer. I hated how short daytime was in IV, most of the time there was one of those really ugly orange sky colors that started at 14:00. I'd rather days be longer, it's Cali and it's the summer in the game, why not?

I think the duration of a day needs to coincide with the size of the map. If V's map ends up being like 3 times that of IV's map, for example, then it might make sense to extend the days from 48 to 60 minutes or 1 hour = 1 day. But who knows, 48 mins may be enough even with a much larger map.

I think that if you travel from LA to whatever the other cities are, you'd have shorter days to show that you had to drive "all night". If there is SF and LV [or simply San Diego] it would make sense to see the day change quicker to signify the distance.

GTA IV and RDR did it just find. I agree with other's who say they would be happy for the day/night cycle to be even longer!
