I feel like days are too short to appreciate the animations that go with day night transition and vice versa.

Days always been twenty four minutes long (representing twenty four hours in game) and I don't believe they are going to change it.

Personally, I'm used to that system since I started playing Grand Theft Auto games and I prefer it that way and, honestly, forty eight minutes would be way too long in my opinion. About day and night transition: I feel it's alright as it is.

Maybe they will allow us to change this setting in the game so we can pick ourselves.

I understand, but having 24 min days could make the transitions ridiculous seeing the sun set in a minute may feel unrealistic, anyway i should do a bit more research, cause i dont believe the in-game days have ever been scaled with the 24 clock cause that would make some transitions too fast, like the dusk for instances.

This.

We had our fair share of night, day and rainy days. Some older GTAs you could not even have fun in the day and the night ends too fast.

I'd love it to be 30/30 (mins.) But like others have said RDR seem to have got the timing right.

Each day was 48 minutes in GTA IV anyway and I hated that. I want the 24 minute system to return.

IMHO, hell f*cking no! I hate short days in a game. Keep 48 minutes, hell make it longer. I hated 1 second= minute, stupid sh*t imo.

Since you were the first to acknowledge this, you get: cookie.gif cookie.gif cookie.gif
OT: 48 mins is just fine for me.

Yes! Days are too short. Start a mission in the sunlight, then cutscene... bam, total darkness. Was I abducted by aliens? Did I stay and have dinner with the mob boss?

I think the duration of a day needs to coincide with the size of the map. If V's map ends up being like 3 times that of IV's map, for example, then it might make sense to extend the days from 48 to 60 minutes or 1 hour = 1 day. But who knows, 48 mins may be enough even with a much larger map.

I'd prefer 3 seconds = 1 in game minute.

If the map is going to be as big as they're saying, then I think this would be better than the 2 seconds = 1 in game minute like GTA IV.

Just as a matter of interest why do you want it back? Did the days in GTA IV seem too long to you?

I think 48 minutes for 1 day is fine. Remember we also get those missions that can only be done at certain time of the day.
