| QUOTE (Cutter De Blanc @ Tuesday, Aug 14 2012, 14:39) | | Unless there's additional gameplay features, I see no reason to get a special edition. | People like you are a menace to the gaming community. All versions of a game should come with the same content. No additional gameplay in the Collector's Edition. It's bullsh*t. On Topic: In most cases, the money a store gets from a used copy of a game, usually goes to buy more new copies. So you're not doing anything to Rockstar, you're just helping out your local Best Buy/Game/Gamestop/EB/whatever. If the CE comes with some sort of statue, then I'll buy it. (I really love collecting game statues.)

does it matter? If rockstar go down that route, one version will have extra missions, another extra cars, another a gun - none of us will have the full game. If rockstar take the "ubisoft" approach, i will be MASSIVELY disappointed and will have to lament the loss of one of gamings most integrety-fillyed companies, that finally buckle to the dollar. I fully expect this to happen, as that is what gaming is now a days. You get half a game so you can buy the rest. You wouldnt buy a car with no wheels would you?
But if rockstar to the honorable, respectful thing, and release a"normal" version, a "special" one with a little model, or artwork book, then fair enough. It will depend on what route they take and what the special edition offers.
If the US get 2 exclusive missions, europe get two other missions, japan get an outfit, and preorders get a car, then f*ck that, i'll buy the cheapest.
If the game simply ships the same world wide, with the only difference being non-in-game bonuses (artwork, books, models, keyrings etc) then I'll buy the special one probably.
I deeply deeply hope, even pray, that Rockstar don't skullf*ck their fans with DLC and exclusive in game content like Ubisoft do. I miss the days before DLC and exlusive/preorder content, where you got what you f*cking paid for.
But with RDR and LA Noire, I highly doubt Rockstar won't f*ck the fans.

Probably the best one with more gameplay features and less bugs and glitches. But the question is when are we gonna buy it?
