GTA San Andreas sold according to vgchartz 23.58 million copies. GTA IV sold 3.6 million copies on the first day, 6 million copies in the first week, 8.5 million copies in the first month and more than 13 million copies in the first year. GTA IV sold 20.02 million copies according to vgchartz between the release and today. We have to assume that a large part sales on PC today are via internet so for example Steam. GTA IV had 6 millions pre-orders. Since the announcement of GTA V the sales of the old sequels like GTA SA and GTA IV has been boosted. Call of Duty 2 was released on November 3rd 2005 and it sold according to vgchartz ~5.94 million copies until today. GTA Liberty City Stories was released on October 24th 2005 and it sold according to vgchartz ~10.98 million copies until today. Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare was released on November 8th 2007 (the fall is a very good quarter to sell games!) and it sold according to vgchartz ~17.01 million copies until today. Today there are 5 times more consoles on the market than at the time when GTA IV was released. So what do you think, guys? How many copies will GTA V sell on the first day, in the first week, in the first month, in the first year etc.? 3 million first day (less than GTA IV because alot of titles will be releasing in the beggining of 2013, late 2012 (COD: BO2, Bioshock Infinite, new sports simulations, Tomb Raider, Hitman: Absolution many others)), 8 million first week (when everyone hears out how good the game is), 16 million first month (same reason as the first week sales)

| QUOTE (FloridaGatorPride @ Tuesday, Aug 14 2012, 17:48) | | hhahaha made my day! ^ | Looking at your signature let me think that will be disappointed on the release of GTA V. I doubt that we'll see San Fierro, Las Venturas and Vice City. Bigger than Just Cause 2? JC2's map is 400 square miles big and the map of GTA SA is 13.6 square miles big so ~30 times smaller. The detail of JC2's map is nothing like Rockstar's handle of details. Dynamic Seasons? That would cost a lot of space and I don't think that current consoles could even handle this. Dynamic weather changes? That was in every GTA if I'm right. A release in 2013 is possible (expect January, that'd be stupid). Of course its name is GTA V but it won't have the first 3 points. That won't happen. #FACT #KIFFLOM This post has been edited by Carl CJ Johnsons Brother Brian on Tuesday, Aug 14 2012, 18:04

Over 30 million. For most sales on first day and week it will be Black Ops 2.. sadly. But overall GTA V will sell more copies. As said, over 30 million.. I really can see that number coming. Either way it obviously will be a huge success (especially in terms of financial situation). | QUOTE (Carl CJ Johnsons Brother Brian @ Tuesday, Aug 14 2012, 20:01) | | QUOTE (FloridaGatorPride @ Tuesday, Aug 14 2012, 17:48) | | hhahaha made my day! ^ |

I assume that he was being sarcastic.. hence the "#FACT" hashtag, like with Epsilon Program. Also that it will be called GTA V, lol. Because yeah, there is no f*cking way GTA V will be bigger than Just Cause 2. As well as for the appearance of the other cities. This post has been edited by Freezer89 on Tuesday, Aug 14 2012, 20:01
