I found this while flying the dodo. I've heard snippets about the dodo flying randomly around Liberty but never witnessed it. Straight afterwards I lost control and drowned. While probably unlinked Im usually a good flyer. Does it induce a glitch like when going around certain areas of ghost town?

Perfectly normal. It's not just on iOS devices. I remember seeing it on PS2.

It can appear with or without a banner on the back.

No, they aren't even real planes in the sense that they behave like objects and not actual vehicles.

This is true, all it is is a model.

Even entering the 'destroy all vehicles' cheat will not destroy it, it will keep flying.

True I did start with VC and I don't regard myself as a noob or newbie I'm not an "expert" as such but I know some about. The games and have never experienced this before

Not your fault . They are very far away but with a skilled rocket launcher shot can be shot down resulting in a 4 star wanted level. Sometimes they spawn flying a banner saying (paraphrased) 'Dead Elvis found'

If you want a closer look at it (or if you are not skilled with Dodo flying), play through "A Drop In The Ocean". The plane that drops the packages continues to circle around the North and then the West edges of Shoreside...whether or not you complete the mission. It will then fly at ground level at the airport's "road" paths until it reaches the hangar where the target plane is in D.L.'s next mission. Even if you complete A Drop In The Ocean, you have plenty of time to trigger the next mission and visit this full-wing Dodo (it takes a few minutes for it to get over to the airport IIRC). It's not a real vehicle (so you can run right through it), but you will get a wanted level if you use an explosive weapon at it...the same as the random plane.

Why the ADITO plane does this? Who knows? Maybe it was originally going to be timed and you had to get to the hangar before it did?

I'm certain you confused that with GTA Vice City.

Personally I never saw a Dodo with a banner in GTA III (well, at least on PS2 and PC versions)...

C'mon man, I literally have seen the banner thing in GTA3 before. I'm sure, I don't look at the sky or anything in Vice City, I just play missions so I'm pretty sure I'm not confusing it for VC.

Well maybe it was in Xbox, because I'm really sure it was GTA3, and you can't say it was GTA: Liberty City either because I have never installed it.
