I was just thinking about the DLC for IV. Same city but you play as different characters with different stories but the 3 characters all come across each other in their lives. Been a while since I played them but in BOGT it's during the bank robbery and I'm sure that Niko was seen/mentioned in LOAT.

I like the way R* do DLC. I had no intention of buying them until they released them on separate discs. They are their own separate games. I read that they aren't gonna do DLC like that anymore.

MAYBE that's because they are gonna include it in the original game itself? When you begin the game you can choose between 3 characters to play as. The guy on the balcony, the guy who is getting chased by cops and some other character. Each story is different so it's not like it's the same story but from a different point of view. Their stories could tie in together at some point.

I'd consider that as a bold direction. It's not been done in GTA game before. It would give the game much more replay value. It would also explain the 1000 page script (rumour) that V has. Finish one story then onto the next. Finish that and then onto the last! There are so many possibilities! The first character could have a fun light hearted story like the classic GTA games. The second could have a serious story like IV had and the third...who knows?

Ey mate, just having a laugh. Personally, I wouldn't like a femal protagonist, it just wouldn't be right with all previous games (other than GTA 1, 2) having males.

I just find krspkbl's topic fascinating in that he came up with it himself without outside influence from others that had the same idea, which just goes to show it's one of those naturally occurring and inevitable ideas - kind of like several inventions in history whereby multiple people, disconnected from one another, were working on the same thing, and one just beat the other and became famous (e.g. invention of the telephone or motorcar). Another example is all the games at the recent E3 that had a bow and arrow, or two separately disconnected films on the life of Coco Chanel that came out in 2009.

This just further goes to show that those at Rockstar naturally saw this as the next step as well and makes me believe more that this is the bold new direction.

As much as I hate comparing GTA to Call Of Duty, no. Multiple Protagonists are what seems to make Call of Duty, well, Call of Duty. If we have multiple protagonists in V, then GTA VI'll be in first person.

But I definitely know that there's going to be a father son relationship in this game idk if this has been mentioned cause it's pretty hard to miss but someone in the trailer yells dad.

I didn't mean it like that. I don't mean that you'll play as one character in one mission then the next you'll be a different person.

What I mean is that instead of just one story there will be three. One for each character. When you first load the game up it says "Pick your character" just like you had a choice between LOAT/BOGT in Episodes from LC. You can choose from either the guy who is being chased by cops, the guy on the balcony or someone else. You'll be playing as the same character throughout the entire story. The stories are separate from each other but they will tie in together at some point.

It would give the game much more replay value. You finish the first story, at this point in previous games it would be game over, and you have a new story still to play! Finish the second one and you go on to the last!
