You are way overreacting or things must be very different depending on which console you're on. I play TBOGT every day and I have no idea what you're talking about. Or yes I do, but it's definately not "ruining" the game unless you keep whining about the fact some guy just ruined your car. Just search for a game where everything looks relax and quiet. It will probably take about 3 searches and in the other games whats the chance they'll attack you right away?

If you avoid the airport theres a big chance this stuff won't happen anyway. On the second island, I just keep driving threw the allyways by looking on the map. He probably won't even see you anymore and you can make good distances (recently I got 4 helicopters behind me who all guarded an allyway and even they had a very hard time to take me out, pissed them off msyelf btw).

Also, if damage is off, it's not that hard to run away, find some cover and look if you can get to a car or a good gun. At the airport you have an enterable building and stuff.
I read you try kicking them? Well that's very stupid cause you know they won't get kicked anyway and it will only piss them off some more. You also said "mostly everyone has a helicopter and is waiting to kill you", well if mostly everyone thinks that is most fun than why change it? You can't take away the firepower for a small minority and it adds some fear and excitement so things won't get boring.

I think something will change in GTA V tho. Like we saw in the trailer, there probably are a lot of places with not a lot or no cars (deserts, countryside, mountains). So if your car gets destroyed there you would have a big problem.

Like someone already said, helicopters shouldn't be able to pickup health. I also think machineguns should add more damage cause now it's ridiculous. There shouldn't spawn a new helicopter after someone took it and there should be a penalty of 30 minutes if you helicopter gets destroyed after attacking people.
I'm a pilot myself but things should get trickier. If you're any good you can keep someone flying around by fyring 3 rockets at a time easily. You have enough time until they get back up.

the more comments in here i read, the more it's starting to sound like most of the people in here opposing assault choppers and planes, haven't or won't invest enough time in piloting.

taking the weapons off of these vehicles in multiplayer or limiting their ammo are two of the most asinine suggestions i've ever heard for the gta series.

i hope no one at R* is considering taking this feature away from gamers who love these vehicles.

dudes are griping about chopper trolling in spawn spots. here's what you do, for starters, don't continue to do the things that are pissing off said chopper trolls. if you are on a board with one guy who is bombing everyone, send a pm to every other player asking them to help you by getting choppers and shooting the troll out of the sky. i've done this countless times since TBoGT released on the PS3.

i can hold my own in the sky, but there are times when i get shot down and the guy holds a grudge and keeps killing me as i respawn. if he doesn't get bored and fly away, i'll send out "help me" PMs to the others on the board. nine times out of ten, he has pissed off everyone else on the board, so they won't have a problem helping out.

I like the way RDR is set up, where it spawns you further out. One way to end the spawn kill, and I am rather perplexed as to why they didn't think of this, is spawning you indoors somewhere. Sure they'll wait for you, but in the new GTA V, if all goes well, and the follow everything they did that made RDR the best ever is as you progress you get upgrades in guns that you ALWAYS have, and one of them being a heat seeker.

Another thing, is having two airports with one type of aircraft each. One Jump Jet, one Buzzard ( that sucker was FUN ) and one Noose heli. And the only time they spawn is when they are destroyed. So there will be a lot of one on one going on.

I was chased around Liberty City by a buzzard, with a buzzard, I'm a bush pilot when it comes to these games I like flying low. Under bridges, between buildings, you name it. I flew the buzzard into the the ferry terminal. The chase ended there but it was a hoot.

When I first got GTA IV I got into an online race, it was one I did that was rather close to the off line ones with what's his face. I got so far ahead that the other players got out of their cars and tried to kill me. I still won. They kicked my off the XBOX server. I laughed my ass OFF.

When it comes to the kidlets I bide my time, wait it out, wait for my moments and out play them at their own games.

The kicker is, I am an old guy. So yea I voted yes. BRING IT!

That's the best fun ever. Trying to beat them at their own game. Like I said elsewhere. In multiplayer mode there really isn't much they need to create for us. The players make up missions.

I really think they invented in Red Dead, the multiplayer model. Co-op places and such. Even at that, you had the trolls. But that is where my hunting skills come in. And as in Red Dead I believe in V you will probably have a bounty set up where if someone gets out of line you go and get them and get the bounty.

They did everything right in Red Dead which I think they will port into their new game. I played with a noob last night in Red Dead that hadn't progressed into the game and just had a mule, so I gave him my horse. What was I able to do? Spawn another horse for myself. You never lose what you have spent so much time getting. When I was a noob, another player who had spent a good time killing me with his long shot rifle ( sniper ), was taking off so he said, "kill me". I got his rifle, but since I didn't "earn" it I only got it temporarily.

The beauty that is Red Dead Redemptions game play will find its way into the new title. Spawn killing will be a thing of the past, they new about it and done something about it in Red Dead.

Even so in Red Dead I spawned killed a noob that just kept coming at me the same way never changing his game plan, much like Americans politics, do the same thing over and over again and maybe getting a different result. After a while I did for him what that other did for me, had him kill me to get my gun.

We're in for a treat I think.

What about in the game preferences there was an option for aircraft weapons and if you set it to off than no weapons could be fired from aircraft in that match, that way people that don't like them can play without them, and people that do can, just like the police or auto-aim in IV

Indeed, it was fun to escape from people shooting you in helicopter, but once the buzzard was introduced in TBOGT's multiplayer it got annoying. Unlimited rockets was plain annoying. Having limited ammo would be the best solution.

Yes, Helicopters and Jets should have guns online.

If you can't hack getting spawn raped then get better at the game so you can shot out the pilots from the Cockpit.

I was once a guy who got spawn raped by helis in GTA IV on a regular basis then I became skilled in the helis just like those guys who were spawn raping me.

This is what makes GTA so good, there's so many different ways to play it and so many different situations in free mode that you encounter.

I do not have GTA IV DLC but why not give them 2-4 rockets and 300 bullet [or less]? That seems fairly good. Or make it so the Helis and Jets do not spawn that often.
