Who'd win in a fight, John Wayne or Lil' Wayne?
What? Where did that come from. Considering that Lil Wayne isn't a real gangsta, and the fact that John Wayne was a racist - I see a Travon Martin situation happening.
I agree. Warlord you are mistaken. John Wayne would decimate Lil Wayne.
Rap is about storytelling, whether it's about personal experiences or tales of fiction.
I read somewhere that rap focuses on glorifying the "ghetto lifestyle", while Hip Hop tries to rise above all that. Then there are different genres, ryan_J probably listens to progressive Hip Hop.

I only like a couple songs by him (like Mirror) but I really don't care. He seems to jump on whatever's popular at the time to keep his fame going. Like trying rock, playing guitar, dressing differently, etc.
However I do love skateboarding and have since I was about 5 so I guess it'd be interesting. Though I can't see this going over too well considering he's a big mainstream pop/rap artist now.

You're both wrong. When it comes to the battle of the wayne's, john wayne gacy would kill (and quite possibly rape/eat) lil' wayne, john wayne, fountains of wayne, and the entire cast of waynes world.
I couldn't view either of those videos on my iPad unfortunately but I still maintain that he's not that sh*tty of a rapper especially in today's hip hop climate. I think he's fallen off a lot since the carter but that album was a classic in my opinion and he's had some great features, one of his greatest features to me was on Cassidy's 6 minute track. I'll post it in an edit, also I think American culture has adopted this attitude about it being cool to hate overly popular people or things for some reason, the man has gotten too big for his britches and has entered that territory along with nickelback, Justin Beiber, snuggies, "duckface", Madonna and Nicki Minaj.

I hope this is true, hip hop is almost dead because of fake rappers like him.
False. Nobody was as productive as him these past few years. Its ok if you dont like him. Who gives a sh*t. But the man made music and continued to do so even when everyone else was trying to be other things.
