Hey everyone, I recent bought the GTA Collectors Pack via Steam (All GTAs) and I just played through III, and Vice City. However; when playing San Andreas the game can be pretty laggy. I'd have to say it dips down to about 18-27 FPS. I find this weird the laptop I'm using (PC) surpasses the spec's for SA.

Here are my specs:

Operating System
MS Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit SP1
CPU
AMD K12
Llano 32nm Technology
RAM
4.00 GB DDR3
Motherboard
SAMSUNG ELECTRONICS CO., LTD. 305E4A/305E4A
Graphics
AMD Radeon HD 6520G
Hard Drives
488GB SAMSUNG SATA Disk Device

more in depth specs:

CODE

GPU Sumo
Device ID 1002-9647
Subvendor Samsung (144D)
Current Performance Level Level 1
Voltage 0.900 V
Technology 33 nm
Die Size 32 nm˛
Release Date Jun 15, 2011
DirectX Support 11.0
OpenGL Support 5.0
Bios Core Clock 200.00
Bios Mem Clock 667.00

Core Voltage 0.900 V
ROPs 8
Shaders 320 unified
Memory Type DDR3
Pixel Fillrate 2.2 GPixels/s
Texture Fillrate 0.0 GTexels/s
Bandwidth 10.7 GB/s

Works fine on 16 bit resolutions, and I mean like buttery smooth. As soon as I switch over to 32 bit, it's kaputz.

Thanks if anyone can help me out. smile.gif

Yeah, that lappy should play the game fine.

Are you sure you have turned off Frame Limiter?
What about video drivers? Are they updated?

At first I didn't turn off the frame limiter, then I did. Also, I just updated the video drivers but to no avail. confused.gif

Try defragging your hard drive and make sure there aren't too many programs running in the background. Besides, perhaps something in this topic might help in any way?
