I've got GTA IV for a long time ago. My first two savegames are okay, but I recently did a new one. I have a problem: Jacob does not wear his helmet when we're riding a motorcycle. Is not urgent but I have this doubt. He only use the helmet in the mission "russian revolution". is a bug? how I can fix it?
I forget something: now in all my savegames is happening the same thing. Another friends and NPC's wear their helmets, Jacob is the exception.
I tried something: I spawn Jacob as NPC with the Simple Native Trainer mod. He wear his helmet, but when we're in an appointment he doesn't do it.
Also I have got a problem with the statistics, for example: the money given to tramps, I give them $10000 but the statistics remain the same. It's strange, my GTA is possessed XD.

Hmm, sounds a bit strange. NPC's usually are the first ones to put on their helmets once you get on a bike of some sort. I have to ask: have you tried exiting/entering the bike in question several times?

Yes, I tried that many times. I forget something: now, in all my savegames is happening the same thing

Yes, the Simple Trainer Mod, but I installed it after the problem arose. I do not think that the problem is that, I had installed before and did not give any sort of trouble. I had unistalled it for a while, and after a time I installed it again, after the problem arose.

why are you worried about him wearing a helmet? the protagonists sometimes start off wearing the helmet (klebitz/lost never wears one), but getting off the bike they throw it away instantly. is he losing too much health because of accidents (user error)? i have only completed everything except u.l. paper missions (won't answer michelle's call), so maybe there is a mission i need to know about

The reason I would worry about losing the helmet is that it may indicate a corrupted savegame. This can mess up your game and you may need to restart it. It may be caused by running the benchmark, then continuing the game without restarting.

That's what's going on, most probably. Corrupted savegames can have very unpredictable side effects.

windows 7 and 8 corrupt gta iv games on their own (imo) i see the wierdest stuff with these installs. a cop stole my fib buffalo from me in alderney (bad cop drop). thanks to others for info.
