Who knows.. I know that if I was a Rockstar employee though, I'd have an account. Who would be able to tell that you're a rockstar employee anyways? As far as anyone is concerned, you're just another random stranger on the internet. Or they could be viewing the forums as guests.

R* Toronto was an employee who provided technical support with the launch of GTA IV PC. Other than that there are no official members. Closest would be deepthroatgta4, but who he really is - that's anyone's guess. I think it would be stupid to assume they don't peek around the biggest GTA community around, since they don't have their own official forum, they have to go somewhere. They could even just come here as regular members to discuss their game without having to stay a secret, I'm sure there's a few of them here.

R* does pay a small dedicated team to comb websites for any legit 'leaks'. It's just a part of keeping some of their employees, and their families in line, and they are warned of this before gaining employment with R*games. And it's not uncommon or out of the ordinary for any of these combers to interact, on any level, with any users of whatever website they are staking out.

There are some people at R* who will check it daily or at least several times a week as a part of their job.

Of course no one would like to read every post here. Just feeling the vibes, see what the mood is and if something possibly slipped through a leak (lol, won't happen I guess).

But sure, they're watching. If I'd be working for R* I would be having an account here as well interacting with the fanbois and generally create confusion just for fun. It would amuse me to have that kind of advanced knowledge. Like playing with children. They don't stand a chance . Sounds creepy.

There is probably a standing rule inside Rockstar that employees who visit these forums can lurk, but are not allowed to post under any condition.

But I was thinking, maybe we could draw them out and get them to respond, if we write posts on this forum that are so stupid, so utterly and completely wrong, and so incredibly, jaw-droppingly idiotic and damaging to culture, society and humanity itself, that the Rockstar employees would be absolutely compelled to respond, out of sheer concern to attempt to redeem the human race.

But, no, I guess not, because we have already tried that in the last 10,000 pages of forum posts, and no Rockstar people responded

tbh, outside of work they are just normal people like all of us and will obviously pass through at some point.

Most likely they'll play GTA at home and anyone who has asked for help regarding missions etc, could easily have been a r* employee, just not at work.

as from a marketing/information point of view, Id definately say so.

woulda seemed more legit if you ended it with "Cheers" not a dash, they end most of their things with "Cheers". I think that R* do lurk in the forums, heck i wouldn't be surprised if a few have made topics for the laughs.

Really dude? Have you ever created a piece of entertainment media? I'm a filmmaker myself, working for large studio in LA, (won't say which one... NDA, you know)

But creating something like this consumes your life... it becomes you and everything is put aside.

I guarantee you that every single person on that R* team building this game has this feeling... no sleep, on it everyday, closer and closer to finishing while everyday feeling a little bit closer, yet a little bit farther to seeing thier brainbaby born, everyday you face new challenges in the same software and equipment you've been working with the whole time, everyday you feel more disconnected from society and your human life, but you don't give a sh*t about that anymore, because for this brief stint in time, you feel purpose... building a masterpiece. That's what GTA V is to them, and that's why we're waiting so long. They don't look down on us and say that we don't have lives, because THEY feel like THEY don't have lives right now...

To be in that state of mind, and then log onto this website and find people like us talking about the thing they're creating, even when we've BARELY seen anything... it's exhilarating and an honor to them, I promise you.
