Love them all, but honestly I was a bit dissapointed with number 3, to me it just felt like a copy and paste of no.2 (my fav) We had an almost indentical chase the trucks sequence. The ending again consisted of an ancient city collapsing with drake escaping The whole elena and drake split up for reasons that were never explained, they meet up and slowly fall in love again.
Plus while I love the set pieces in the 3rd game individually, I felt in the grand scheme of things they where underwhelming, It just felt like they where trying to shoehorn in as many ott set pieces as possible unlike 2 where i felt the train section was the standout moment, I just felt that in 3 they should have cut out one or two and focused on making the others longer and better built up because in 3 you pretty much go from the ship to the plane too quickly.
If you watch the making of documentary they actually said they came up with all the ideas for the set pieces first then wrote the story around them and it really show imo.
Now I love the game, but I was dissapointed.
Oh ya, did anyone else notice that they for some reason changed elenas eyes? she looks completly diff in 3 i think

Uncharted is probably one of the best game series I've ever played. Who wouldn't want to be a young Indiana Jones modern version hunting mystery treasure on the world? I'm glad that I'm not the only one who think U2>3 Uncharted 1 was great, but some level is not so good and the story could've been better. But still, it leave me a lot of good memory. Uncharted 2 is probably one of best game that leave me have a lot of nostalgia after finish it, amazing graphic, better and greater gameplay, awesome story that could make you think it is true since there are a lot of research, real life documents was put to it. Uncharted 3 is not a bad game, but it was a disappointed (to me and some people, at least) and way too f*cking overrated. The graphic probably is much better, but some of the changes in engine techniques and gameplay somewhat have ruined the game, the story have too many reuse aspect from the previous game, which made its amazing story into something feel cheap and unsatisfied. Some levels are REALLY badly designed, the game goes to ruin after the level where Drake got captured by pirates, I can say it's the most pointless and boring level I've ever played, and then the game slowly led you into the ending that no one expected it to be (in a bad way of course). still, I like how they put more puzzle in U3, so I can use my brain more than spending time to massacre sh*t load of peple.

Definitely the first one, the mechanics weren't all there but the story was fresh, and i really loved the supernatural aspect, very unexpected.
Number 2 was great as well, it felt fresh, a new invigorating story and the mechanics were top notch, plus it had a lot more problem solving than number 1, they did have the supernatural in there again which has become somewhat of an uncharted cliche.
Number 3 was really good, storyline was very believable and it the mechanics were great, but i feel like they dumbed down the game, puzzles were too easy and the hints were given even without a prompt.

| QUOTE (Futurama_Freak1 @ Wednesday, Aug 15 2012, 07:01) | I have to say Uncharted 2 is the more solid game. The story is way more believable. In uncharted 3 it relys too heavily on coincidences and pure luck on nate's behalf (washing up on the shore of the city Elana was in, just so happens to stumble across an abandon town full of the same bad guys and the like) in getting through some of the scenarios, but still it's one of the best games I've ever played. | He never left the town that Elana was is in. That was a ship graveyard, the other boats didn't go far when they were moving, they just headed to the cruise ship sitting off shore. And the plane that was going to drop cargo was heading to that same spot that the bad guys were at - to drop cargo. As for Uncharted 2 story being more believable, I can't agree with that at all. I think you've played too many video games.

But in Uncharted 2, everything felt like it had a purpose, one of the best moments of this generation of gaming for me was reaching the top of the Hotel in Uncharted 2, why? Because actually look, the entire game is mapped out from that vantage point, you can see the temple you need to get to, you can see the rougher streets leading North, you can see the train yard, you can see a train track pathway heading up to the mountains and hell yes, you can see the snowy mountains in the distance. It's a story which has a set path that is clear and makes sense.
Uncharted 3, whilst a great game, the story falls short for me, again, they admitted that they planned a lot of the huge events first and wrote the story around those, and it shows here, a lot of the story parts feel pointless, the Pirate Ship Graveyard, the Cruise Ship? Graphically Brilliant, but in all honesty they could be cut out of the game and no one would notice! The forced character in the Pirate King didn't match up to the pirates back story of the first game, etc.
And one more thing, what is it with Uncharted 3 and those steroid goons? You're telling me Nate never fought one of these guys and suddenly every third guy he fights in Uncharted 3 is a Muscle Roid Abuser?

Billy, you can kill them with bullets, I did it not long ago. | QUOTE (DarrinPA @ Wednesday, Aug 29 2012, 08:07) | | QUOTE (Futurama_Freak1 @ Wednesday, Aug 15 2012, 07:01) | I have to say Uncharted 2 is the more solid game. If anything I don't play ENOUGH video games. Seriously I hardly play games at all. Plus, the people found in the village Nate says "They must have been sent to look for the plane". This post has been edited by Futurama_Freak1 on Wednesday, Aug 29 2012, 10:52
