I made this topic once before, but it is very old now so not much point reviving it, might as well create a new one.

If you could have two inventions that have not yet been invented, (A functional version) what would they be?
I will begin.
- Proper space-ships with hyperdrives like in Star Wars.
- A youth potion of sorts.

Feel free to post more than once.

A 'gurney' like shopping cart, so you can shop, load it into an SUV, and easily wheel the grocieries into the house.

A Cart for moving and lifting portable air conditioners into the window.

A small countertop 'Dishwasher' for flatware.

A signal device so you will know when/that the mail is pickedup/delivered to the box.

Temperature Guages on the outside of the Refridgerator/Freezer so you know how cold it is inside. Especially for power outages when you don't want to open the door.

Pocket signal device so you know when the Washing Machine and Dryer are finished.

Driveway and walkway alarms to let you know when someone is approaching the door. (These used to exist, difficult to find, now).

A zero point field manipulator, to use the terminology from Half-Life 2. Basically something that could suspend the forces of gravity and momentum. As a motorcycle rider I think it would be wonderful if I ever got in an accident and zero point technology suspended me until I could safely be dropped to the ground instead of sliding across the ground at 50 miles per hour.

Youth Potion and a Machine that instantly adds money to credit cards.

Roads that never crack. If they found some matter that can't break down, and is very durable. But that will probably never happen, due to limited funding and the fact that there is nothing out there that is indestrucitble.

I would also want a vehicle that could nearly last the life time of a human, no repairs. That will never happen though.

There you go, my two wishes for inventions.

See what you've done there is go for quantity over quality. Lots of perfectly good inventions, but let's face it nobody is going to run out to the store and trample someone to death just to get their hands on a small counter top dishwasher for flatwear, whatever flatwear is.

I guess I'd invent a lifelike robot that feels just like a real person in every single way and is anatomically just like a human. It doesn't actually have to have a functioning liver or heart, but has something that looks and feels like them. Then I'd have my way with it over and over again. Although actually it'd feel like humping a dead body, but you know you shouldn't knock the necrophilia market, lots of dollars in that, I'd still be rich.

And my second invention would be a robot who's sole purpose is to pick up dogsh*t and wipe the dog's ass and wash the dog's ass. I hate picking up dog poo, and I hate them wiping their asses on carpets and I hate it when they lick their arsehole in front of me, or at any time for that matter. So a robot to take away those ghastly things would be just swell.

Rechargable battery cells that don't die would be cool. My Xbox 360 plug and play batteries only last six months before they take 10 hours to charge and then run out in 30 minutes. I suppose it depends on the battery type as there's lipos, nimh etc.
