If they ever figure out how to freeze a guy without killing him and destroying him, then they've just figured out time travel. Unless reality pulls some bullsh*t dick move like it did in "forever young" where your age miraculously catches up to you. f*ck I hated that ending. Quite possibly the worst ending to anything ever.

I'd take with me a phone and a digital watch, and I'd go to some tribe in the Amazon and show off and act like a big shot, lording it over them with my great shiny objects whilst they sit their with their breasts hanging out and their dicks wrapped in leaves. They would worship me as a god, bringing me all kinds of delicious and strange animals from the jungle, letting me sleep with their women and laughing at all my terrible jokes even if they didn't understand them or find them funny. I'd just sit around sunbathing sipping some juices out of a coconut which would act as a glass. I'd teach them as well, not simply partaking in selfish acts.
For example I'd somehow communicate to them that they shouldn't use a bowl to cut their hair because it makes them look stupid, that putting bones through their noses makes them look like jackasses, that the men need to cover their dignity, they should stop eating bugs and weird looking sh*t and that their tree houses are totally lame and tacky. Basically I'd do some massive combined Extreme Makeover: Home Edition/How To look Good Naked/Gok's Fashion Fix/Saturday Kitchen Live and I'd turn their lives around for the better. It'd just be one massive lifestyle turnover with a before and after, then they'd all get really emotional and within a week they'd be back to their sh*tty old ways. Then I'd come back in 2 years to do a "where are they now?" special, and just spit in their faces and tell them off.

But here's the mindf*ck, how can one simply travel 10 years forward without us writing what hasn't been written yet? That's what I was trying to get. The past has already been written, as I am typing this the past has already been written. I won't go off-topic anymore though. Doc Brown in BTTF said the future hasn't been written yet, the future in the BTTF movies was just simply a possibility of what could happen to them. It was fictionalised, see now if you change the past, the future changes. If you change the future, the past changes. Then what ever happens in between those timeloops or wormholes, can't be changed. Time travel is a tricky thing to get, it's a debated topic, a friend of mine who has a science scholarship says he doesn't think travelling forward is possible, but travelling backwards is. There are many different theories. If you're meaning that it's possible to travel into the future, then of course it is. Like you said... we're doing it right now. Jules Verne's "The Time Machine" book travels miles and miles ahead of the future... but, is it possible? f*ck knows, ain't gonna happen in our lifetime, but damn I sure wish it would. If you travel 10 years into the future, thouse 10 years would have happened with out the traveler noticing. I don't know whats your deal with "the future is not written".
BTTF is a movie. Science fiction.

Justin Beiber get off our forums.
Me I'd travel back to around year 0 or 33 or something like that, whenever it was Jesus was supposed to have been around and and I would kill Judas, so he doesn't betray Jesus as their last supper so doesn't get given over to the Romans and does die on the cross and therefore create this whole Christianity thing. Actually it would probably be called Iscariotanity as he's the one that dies and I'd be the new Judas, and with all this Chinese whispers thing that happens with religion he would have been this guy that made loads of fish and bread, the masses not really knowing that behind him was a fishing boat with his catch of the day (he was a fisherman) and he was parked next to a Greggs.
If that didn't work then I'd take a picture of Jesus and then when I get back I'll show his picture to everyone and say "See I told you he's not a 6 foot tall blonde haired blue eyes pretty boy like on all your posters, he's a midget with a balding head and bad teeth like they all were back then in the middle east"
