In the GFX request section.There are many request for the headers. If you are a beginner in GFX and want to help others by completeing there request or you want headers for your own topic then you come to the right place.This is a small tutorial.I will tell here some things for making simple,easy headers.Program used in this tutorial is gimp.So let's start:-

1.First of all fireup Gimp.
2.Make sure you have not open any image in gimp.
3.Click on File>Create>Web Page Themes>Classic gimp.org>big header.
4.Type the text you want.
5.Choose the font you want.
5.Select the colors you like.
7.Make sure that there should Tick on all the boxes like Autocrop,Remove background,Index image.
8.Click ok.
9.Save it as png format and upload it to any image hosting sites.
10.After uploading the header the website give you many URL codes but copy only Forum URL code.
11.Next you know paste the code in GTAForums new topic you are creating.
12.Have fun!

1.If You want use other font you can download any font and install it.Automaticly gimp will install it.Choose the font like in step 5.

A great tutorial by Narcis_speed6 for Photoshop users.


Here is Narcis_speed6 little version of the tutorial

Select the type tools and type your text (in this tutorial I used Phoenix Script FLF font), the color does not matter, we are going to add gradient later on



Add a gray (767676) 2 px outer stroke (Layer->Layer Style->Stroke...)



Now let's add a gradient color (Layer->Layer Style->Gradient Overlay...) you can eighter make it your self by folowing the picture below or you can download it from here



It should looks like this



We should add a inner glow to make it stand out more (Layer->Layer Style->Inner Glow...)

White color, Blend mode set to Color Dodge, Opacity to 75%, Center Source, Size 16.



Apply an outer glow (Layer->Layer Style->Outer Glow...)

Black color, Blend mode set to Normal, Opacity to 75%, Size 9.



Now we need a inner shadow to make it look like the text is 3D (Layer->Layer Style->Inner Shadow...)

White color, Blend mode set to Color Dodge, Opacity to 30%, Angle 120, Distance 1, Choke 0, Size 0.



A drop shadow to spice things up (Layer->Layer Style->Drop Shadow...)

Black color, Blend mode set to Normal, Opacity to 100%, Distance 13, Spread 100, Size 1.



Let's make the header sparkle by using this star, simply resize and add at the edges of the text.

This is how the final product should look:



The grey background was added so you can see the text better.

This is simple header making tutorial.So it is not so awesome.I will update it to how texture header

though it is best to keep it simple, keep the canvas 50px high because you font want the header too big. stick with a nice solid font and add a nice gradient that works well and maybe a stoke to help it stand out.

I think you are right.I will add some simple effects like Lightning the headers.I will add after evening because i'm going to school.
