Hi guys, I recently bought gta iv. I downloaded lcpdfr and some traffic mods. I started to have some texture issues and wanted to do a clean reinstall. When i uninstalled the game i revoked my license and haven't been able to play since. Whenever i install the game it installs with safe mode IV revoke license and regular gta iv in the start menu. I go to put my serial key in upon the first start up. Sometimes it'll work after the reinstall and sometimes it don't. It'll crash saying securom has stopped working. I downloaded that securom removal kit and removed securom before uninstalling the game again. I quit getting the stop working pop up. But, When the game starts a command prompt window pops up then social club. I click play offline. the screen will go black then the game will crash.

Is there a way to fix this? If i go buy another GTA iv game will it work?

if your copy of GTA is legal , i think there is no trouble that shouldn't be fixed by the support then . if you buy another copy i recommend Steam you can play instantly and it's reliable

If you're getting the black command prompt window you probably forgot about installing the patches.

GFWL update
Patch 7

And don't forget that Securom needs te VC++ libraries that are located on the game disk in the extras or redisitributables folder.

I just bought another copy of IV and I am still getting that command prompt window and the Securom has stopped working...........

I'll try the patch..

I needed two copies anyway for a new laptop im getting....This securom stuff is irritating the heck out of me though...

I usually don't doubt people until there is a strong indication of foul play.
