Yeah Redneck welding is a good skill to have. I'm not certified, but I've fixed up fences, support beams, a go-cart (hehe), and tons of other sh*t. MIG is pretty easy, all you do is point and shoot. I learned first on ARC welding, but I've never used it out of a class room setting. Plasma cutting is actually pretty fun, I prefer using that than a Acetylene torch to cut my metals. You'll learn pretty fast, just practice on some scrap metal in your spare time and you'll get it down. smile.gif

Yeah, I use the Acetylene for more than just cutting.. Use it to heat and bend thicker metals, like 1/2 in tubing, or diamond plate. You can also use the black smoke to help purify the metal before welding as well. All kinds of tricks to it.

The hardest part about metal is alot of industrial jobs you have to get certified, and it can be a bitch. Weld thickness, right gas mixtures, etc. Luckily, I got my certs while working at the shipyard.. Got certified on the job, I picked up a MIG and started fab'n make-shift hanger brackets for pipes.. caught on and I eventually bought a welding helmet and just kept telling people I'll weld that for you, etc and finally they certified me once a co-worker taught me the ropes on TIG. I was 18-19yrs old and was making $19/hr wink.gif It's a damn good trade to learn.

I've only used it for bending after I found the sweet plasma cutter. tounge.gif

Hey guys.. sorry I haven't been posting much over here but I figured I'd take the time to show you lot what I'm currently working on... tounge.gif

http://i.imgur.com/DnJKs.png

Banner isn't done as I need to add more characters and I obviously need to add more boxes and such... change the background and so on. The phone is based of my Glaxay S2 and is based as the radio player for the fansite. When I'm done with that I'm going to TRY and find a coder, but I don't know. Might have to try myself as I want to pay next to nothing for it as I designed it myself, and coding is a two minute job if you know what you're doing, and theres the possibility of them trying to steal my design and so on, but whatever... I'm just rambling now.

Hm. Trying resetting all tools.

Just right click and select it and then go back into blending options and see if that fixes it. icon14.gif

Yeah - right. I have absolutely no knowledge of Flash to even begin to do something like that... but if I ever learn I'll give you call.. moto_whistle.gif

Anyone here mess with CS6's oil painting feature yet? f*cking sweet if you ask me.

Nice, abit like Topaz filter.. but looks good. O.O I'm still a noob and stuck on CS5, I may be upgrading soon. That oil filter seems to have made it abit more HD as well. I like it.

Meh. I still use CS3 on my laptops and such, aha.

I'd definitely recommend upgrading solely for the filter, though. Freaking amazing. And yeah, it did make it pretty much HD, but also messes things up (i.e. the zippers get smugged in the process and so do the eyes) but the hair is amazing.

You can replicate the exact same effect with Topaz Clean. smile.gif

This is just the same picture but clicking one of the presets.

Awh, that sucks. I hate having to f*cking find my brushes over and even sometimes even redownload them... takes to f*cking long for a simple blood splatter. facedesk.gif

So I was brainstorming here and I thought of the idea that we could make a group YouTube account that we'd all have access to for making Cinema 4D and Photoshop tutorials..
