sorry for the all caps rage, but srsly my gta is always crashing no matter what, no matter the mods, no matter the way of installing them, no matter which gta with which exe version

First of all, Is your PC strong enough spec-wise to handle mods?-As Mods use more resources than the normal game..

Next, Does the game work normal without the mods? If so, then the mods are the problem, so try playing the game without the mods(the way the game was designed and tested to be played by the game developers)...Even a Moderator has said mods are the problem pretty much all the time in the Pinned Troubleshooting topic here:

To find above info, Go to Start, Search(if Vista or 7)/Run(If XP) and type in DXDIAG and press Enter, the first page is the OS, Ram, and Processor info., then the Display tab=Video card info...

It is a download version, tried couple but mainly using HOODLUM since its the most stable i have found
I'm currectly using the 1.0 14,383,616 bytes exe
My processor is Pentium 4 3.00 GHZ and with mods i run it 20 fps avg, sometimes it gets around 8 but its mainly around ls
I'm using ddr2 ram 3072 mb
512 mb VRAM on nvidia 9800GT (it says 1776 mb in the display tab but that is wrong since on the box itself says 512)
don't know about the dedicated vram
windows 7 ultimate 32bit (6.1, Build 7691) but I had the same problems on xo
I don't have a sp

I also don't get why it crashes(random) since all the original and added cars spawn
and i highly doubt that its crashing due to my pc not being able to handle it anyways here's the mods im using

srt 3 and the lod mod
timecyc
render distance fix
some added cars
some replaced cars
3 cleos for moving spoilers and dk22pac's light cleo
I have also put the cars in a new img file so i can still mod them

im f*cking sick of all these crashes
I rarely get crashes on gta iv or almost never

IF it is then I think we cannot help you, steam has it for quite cheap, and no problems on it, too bad you missed the sale but there will be another soon.

Hoodlum is the team who made it/cracked it not sure
I would buy it but
1.I don't have credit cards etc. so i cannot purchase anything online and they don't sell it anywhere
2.What is the guarantee that if i buy the game that will fix my crashes the files are the same
3.I know people who had no problems at all(they gave me links for theirs) (but they have powerfull pc's)

edit: I still highly doubt it it crashes because of my pc, I will try to play it on mid-low settings with the original timecyc

You don't have to buy online-the game is still sold at stores like: Gamestop, Wal-Mart, Target, K-Mart, etc...So, that is not a valid reason-Plus, the game is less than $10 now a days, so there is no reason not to...

Illegal downloads have a lot of problems associated as they are not always stable like the legal versions are, since legal versions have support associated with them, whereas illegal games do not....Plus, the legal versions have the latest updates to make them more stable whereas the illegal ones lack this...

Plus, a credit card is not needed to buy online, all you have to do is go to the store and get a pre-paid credit card, and then use that to buy the legal version online...There are legal downloads-ie. Steam, D2D, Gamestop downloads, and Amazon downloads...Plus, last I knew it was less than $5 on Steam(legal Download)....


Until you get the legal version, you are on your own, as it is both against Federal Law AND the Forum rules(quoted above) to discuss such matters...Sorry, but those are the consequences for choosing an illegal version over the legal ones when they are still sold in store AND on-line...I listed above the stores that still carry the game(I verified some of those to be true)....

im not from usa bro, we don't have stores like this here and I don't get why this happends when they use the same files and is it guaranteed that I will have problems, because I don't want to give my money away and get the same results.

the simple solution is to buy the 'Real' Game.
Don't buy downloads, there appears to be too many problems with them.
Until you have a Legal game we can't help, and when you buy the legal game you most likely won't have any problems. Get the Disc, downgrade the game, play with the disc in the drive. and mod carefully.
