| QUOTE (IWANTGTA5NOW @ Tuesday, Aug 7 2012, 15:26) | Personally i love listen to the radio, but the thing that bothers me is the the lack of popular songs. For example there were a few in GTA IV but not a mainstream radio station with songs from Micheal Jackson, Stevie Wonder and other popular artists. Also it was very rare in GTA IV and San Andreas to play the game once and not hear the same song. Personally i listen to Radio x and Liberty Rock Radio and the amount of times i heard 'Personal Jesus' by Depeche mode and 'Run to the Hills' by Iron Maiden was f*cking stupid.
I'd also like to see better hosts for the radio stations. Like Axl Rose, he was f*cking awesome on K-DST in SA but they didn't really have anybody like that in GTA IV execpt Iggy Pop... Yeah.
For me they need to improve the radio, after a few plays you could tell what the DJ was going to say next and that sort of annoys me.
I would also like to see a iTunes type thing involved in GTA V. Maybe you could buy songs on your iPod and listen to it when ever you wanted to.
I'm sure im not the only person who thinks they need to improve it... am i? | A agree 100%. After recently playing san andreas i could remember everything axle said. and the songs became repetative too it seems. seems like there are 5 songs when there are really 17. but we need more, like maybe 30songs a station, i'm sure rockstar could do this. i can pick 30 80's songs easy, its just a matter of finding songs everyone likes i think. that's why it is a little more difficult finding a lot of them for each station?

After all, quality is more important than quantity. Also, I fail to see how so many people complain about radio stations in IV lacking mainstream or well known acts. Since when have the likes of the Rolling Stones, Kanye West, Ne-Yo and Phillip Glass been unheard of. As far as I'm concerned, IV's radio was excellent. The blend of lesser known tracks by famous acts was perfect and I hope for the same in V.

But they would make fun of these artists. Summary, a pop radio station that parody's todays Top 40 pop stations. |
Seriously.. | I think he means just a station to mock how terrible the music is. ------ More big names might be good, but many GTAs have been great because they bring lesser-known music to people's attention. But the all-hits radio of VC was by far the best, so IDK. And more songs are always better. Some more memorable radio hosts (Tommy 'The Nightmare' Smith and Mary Beth Maebell come to mind) and funnier talk radio back from Chatterbox, VCPR and K-Chat would be cool. GTA radio is indeed very important. TvTropes even has an article about, its so important. http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/GTARadio
