Whenever I do the mission Stowaway, where you have to get on a plane, kill some guys with a knife, leave a satchel charge and parachute out of a plane. I parachute out of the plane and when I land on the ground my game crashes. It freezes for a second and then the screen goes black and I get a window saying GTA_SA.EXE stopped working.

I have tried many things to fix this, I changed the compatibility to Windows 7, Windows XP and when I changed it to Windows 98 my saved game wasn't even there, which scared me a bit at the time.

I tried removing all the CLEO folders from my GTA directory. I tried deleting the Gta_SA.exe file from my User Files.

I tried changing the settings to minimum, and turning frame filter off.

I even tried just hitting the ground without the parachute and killing myself.

Could this be because I cheated once? I once spawned a car on a mission because it was out in the desert and needed a four door car to drive some guys, and they didn't tell me it before the mission.

I'm completely stuck now... I've done the mission at least 7 times now trying to find a way to fix this, someone please help me. This is the only mission I have right now and I really want to finish the game and it's getting really frustrating. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Windows 7
Nvidia GT 220
Intel Core i5
12GB of RAM

And yes I have installed two skin mods and a teleporting mod for CLEO.

Undoubtedly, it's one of the mods interfering with your game. If you've tried removing all mods and it still crashes, then the only option you have is to reinstall the game.

Of course we presume you are playing with the DVD in the Drive.
If you're using a crack (no-cd program) that may also eontribute to problems.
The kind of cheat you used shouldn't be a problem.

I'm going to try a reinstall.

And yes I'm using a crack, but that has never caused any problems before. I think it must have been the Skin Mods or maybe CLEO.

The game isn't programed to run with a crack. Remove it. Use the DVD.
We can't help with cracked games, there are too many possible problems with no fixes other than to use the Disc.
